3. Job Set-up
Subtask 54-51-29-941-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
   (2) Make sure that engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
   (3) On overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ON legend of ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
     (b) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).

B. Get Access
   (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position:
     (a) For the left pylon, in zone 410
     (b) For the right pylon, in zone 420.

C. Removal of the Components:
   (1) Remove the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-11-000-040).
   (2) Remove the thrust reverser cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-11-000-040).
   (3) Remove the power plant (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-000-040).

C. Removal of the Components:
   (1) Remove the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-11-000-010) (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-16-000-010).
   (2) Remove the thrust reverser doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-01-000-010) (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-02-000-010) (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-03-000-010) (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-04-000-010).
   (3) Remove the power plant (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-20-000-040).

C. Removal of the Components:
   (1) Remove the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-11-000-041).
   (2) Remove the thrust reverser cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-11-000-002).
   (3) Remove the power plant (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-000-042).

D. Removal of the Access Panels
   (1) Remove the pylon lateral access-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 54-51-21-000-001):
     (a) For the left pylon: 415BL 415BR
     (b) For the right pylon: 425BL 425BR.
   (2) Remove the lower fairings (Ref. AMM TASK 54-56-00-000-001):
     (a) For the left pylon: 473AL 473AR
     (b) For the right pylon: 483AL 483AR.

D. Removal of the Access Doors
   (1) Remove the pylon lateral access-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 54-51-21-000-001):
     (a) For the left pylon: 415AL 415AR
     (b) For the right pylon: 425AL 425AR.
Subtask 54-51-29-020-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
E. Removal of the Pipes
   (1) Remove the pressure/suction/case drain/return piping of the green (yellow) hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-11-49-000-013) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-13-49-000-013).
   (2) Removal of the drain pipes (5) and (14):
F Drain Lines ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
     (a) At RIB3, remove the two bolts (10), the two washers (11), the bonding strip (9) and the casing assy (12).
     (b) At RIB4, remove the bolt (17), the washer (18) and the clamp (16). Remove and discard the bushing (19).
     (c) At RIB7, loosen the pipe end-fittings (1), (2) and (4) and remove the tee (3) from the drain pipe (15). Put PLUG - BLANKING on the disconnected line ends.
     (d) Remove the drain pipe (5) and the drain pipe (14) from the rear.
   (3) Removal of the drain pipe (13):
F Drain Lines ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
     (a) At RIB1, remove the two bolts (7) and the two washers (6). Loosen the pipe end-fitting (8) and put PLUG - BLANKING on the disconnected line ends.
     (b) At rib4, remove the bolt (17), the washer (18) and the clamp (16). Remove and discard the bushing (19).
     (c) Remove the drain pipe (13) from the rear.

   (1) Remove the nuts (1) and discard them. Remove the washers (2).
   (2) Remove the hoisting fittings (3).
