A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start engine 1(2).
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 54-51-00-040-086-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start engine 1(2).
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.

B. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser
Subtask 54-51-00-040-086-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER IS LOCKED. IF NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE REVERSER.
(1) Make the thrust reverser unserviceable for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-481-041). B. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser
Subtask 54-51-00-010-093-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER IS LOCKED. IF NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE REVERSER.
(1) Make the thrust reverser unserviceable for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-012). C. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position:
(a) For the left pylon, at zone 470
(b) For the right pylon, at zone 480.
(2) Remove the pylon-to-wing access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-000-002):
(a) For the left pylon: 471CL, 475AL, 475BL, 472BR, 476AR and 476BR
(b) For the right pylon: 481BL, 485AL, 485BL, 482CR, 486AR and 486BR.
Subtask 54-51-00-010-093-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position:
(a) For the left pylon, at zone 470
(b) For the right pylon, at zone 480.
(2) Remove the pylon-to-wing access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-000-002):
(a) For the left pylon: 471CL, 475AL, 475BL, 472BR, 476AR and 476BR
(b) For the right pylon: 481BL, 485AL, 485BL, 482CR, 486AR and 486BR.
C. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position:
(a) For the left pylon, at zone 470
(b) For the right pylon, at zone 480.
(2) Remove the pylon-to-wing access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-000-002):
(a) For the left pylon: 471DL, 475AL, 475BL, 471CR, 475AR and 475BR
(b) For the right pylon: 481CL, 485AL, 485BL, 481DR, 485AR and 485BR.
Subtask 54-51-00-110-090-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position:
(a) For the left pylon, at zone 470
(b) For the right pylon, at zone 480.
(2) Remove the pylon-to-wing access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-000-002):
(a) For the left pylon: 471DL, 475AL, 475BL, 471CR, 475AR and 475BR
(b) For the right pylon: 481CL, 485AL, 485BL, 481DR, 485AR and 485BR.
D. Preparation of the Inspection Area
(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If it is not sufficiently clean, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If it is not sufficiently clean, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .

(a) Corrosion damage:
- If you find corrosion damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 512200) for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
- If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 511100) for the damage types, classification and corrective.

(1) Do a detailed inspection of the pylon-to-wing aft attachment shackles at RIB10. (2) Make sure that there is no:
(a) Corrosion damage:
- If you find corrosion damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 512200) for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
- If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 511100) for the damage types, classification and corrective.

A. Close Access
(1) Install the pylon-to-wing access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-400-002):
(a) For the left pylon: 471CL, 475AL, 475BL, 472BR, 476AR and 476BR
(b) For the right pylon: 481BL, 485AL, 485BL, 482CR, 486AR and 486BR.
Subtask 54-51-00-410-097-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Install the pylon-to-wing access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-400-002):
(a) For the left pylon: 471CL, 475AL, 475BL, 472BR, 476AR and 476BR
(b) For the right pylon: 481BL, 485AL, 485BL, 482CR, 486AR and 486BR.
A. Close Access
(1) Install the pylon-to-wing access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-400-002):
(a) For the left pylon: 471DL, 475AL, 475BL, 471CR, 475AR and 475BR
(b) For the right pylon: 481CL, 485AL, 485BL, 481DR, 485AR and 485BR.

B. Reactivation of the Thrust Reverser
(1) Make the thrust reverser serviceable after maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-081-041).

B. Reactivation of the Thrust Reverser

C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
