A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start engine 1(2).
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 54-51-00-040-060-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start engine 1(2).
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.

B. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser
Subtask 54-51-00-040-060-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER IS LOCKED. IF NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE REVERSER.
(1) Make the thrust reverser unserviceable for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-481-041). B. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser
Subtask 54-51-00-010-061-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER IS LOCKED. IF NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE REVERSER.
(1) Make the thrust reverser unserviceable for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-012). C. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position:
(a) For the left pylon, in zone 470
(b) For the right pylon, in zone 480.
(2) Remove the pylon-to-wing access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-000-002):
(a) For the left pylon: 471CL 475BL 472BR 476BR
(b) For the right pylon: 481BL 485BL 482CR 486BR.
Subtask 54-51-00-010-061-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position:
(a) For the left pylon, in zone 470
(b) For the right pylon, in zone 480.
(2) Remove the pylon-to-wing access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-000-002):
(a) For the left pylon: 471CL 475BL 472BR 476BR
(b) For the right pylon: 481BL 485BL 482CR 486BR.
C. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position:
(a) For the left pylon, in zone 470
(b) For the right pylon, in zone 480.
(2) Remove the pylon-to-wing access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-000-002):
(a) For the left pylon: 471DL 475BL 471CR 475BR
(b) For the right pylon: 481CL 485BL 481DR 485BR.
Subtask 54-51-00-110-063-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position:
(a) For the left pylon, in zone 470
(b) For the right pylon, in zone 480.
(2) Remove the pylon-to-wing access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-000-002):
(a) For the left pylon: 471DL 475BL 471CR 475BR
(b) For the right pylon: 481CL 485BL 481DR 485BR.
D. Preparation of the Inspection Area
(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If it is not sufficiently clean, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If it is not sufficiently clean, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .

A. Installation of the Access Panels
(1) Install the pylon-to-wing access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-400-002):
(a) For the left pylon: 471CL 475BL 472BR 476BR
(b) For the right pylon: 481BL 485BL 482CR 486BR.
Subtask 54-51-00-410-062-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Install the pylon-to-wing access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-400-002):
