A. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
   (2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
   (3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
     (b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC.

B. Get Access
   (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position:
     (a) For the left pylon in zone 410
     (b) For the right pylon in zone 420.
   (2) Remove the access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-000-002):
     (a) For the left pylon: 414FR 471AL 472AR
     (b) For the right pylon: 423FL 481AL 482AR.

B. Get Access
   (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position:
     (a) For the left pylon in zone 410
     (b) For the right pylon in zone 420.
   (2) Remove the access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-000-002):
     (a) For the left pylon: 471AL 471AR 471BL 471BR.
     (b) For the right pylon: 481AL 481AR 481BL 481BR.

D. Cleaning of the Structure
   (1) Clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , if necessary.

   (1) Do a detailed inspection of the internal and external structure of the pylon-to-wing attach-fitting lugs at Rib 4.
   (2) Make sure that there is no:
     (a) Corrosion damage:
- If you find corrosion damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 512200 for types of corrosion, inspection, removal and corrosion protection.
     (b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
- If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 511100 for damage classification and related corrective action.

   (1) Make the thrust reverser serviceable (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-081-041).

   (1) Install the access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-400-002):
     (a) For the left pylon: 414FR 471AL 472AR

   (2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
   (4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).

   (1) Install the access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-400-002):
     (a) For the left pylon: 471AL 471AR 471BL, 471BR

   (2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
   (4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
