Subtask 53-35-11-860-050-A
Subtask 53-35-11-560-050-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
(2) Remove and discard the defective seal (1) from the panel (3).
(3) Clean the panel with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and the Non Aqueous Cleaner_- Methyl-Ethyl-Ketone - (Material No.08BBF1) to remove the remaining adhesive.
(4) Clean the new seal (1) with soap and hot water. Let it dry.
(5) Put the seal (1) in its correct position at the edge of the panel (3).
(6) If necessary, cut the seal (1) to its correct length.
(7) Hold the seal (1) in its position. Put marks on it to align with the rivet holes in the panel (3).
(8) Remove the seal (1) and make the holes for the rivets (4).
(9) Make the surface of the panel (3) rough with the CLOTH - ABRASIVE (GRADE 120-180).
(11) Clean the mating surfaces of the seal (1) and the panel (3) with Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and the Non Aqueous Cleaner_- Methyl-Ethyl-Ketone - (Material No.08BBF1) .
(12) Apply a thin layer of the primer of the Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) to the surface of the panel (3).
(13) Let the primer dry for not less than one hour and not more than six hours.
(15) Make sure that air bubbles do not show. Air bubbles are not permitted.
(16) Put the seal (1) in its position. Align the holes in the seal (1) with the pre-drilled holes in the panel (3).
(19) Make sure that the height of the tails of the rivets (4) plus the thickness of the rivet burrs (2) is less than 3.0 mm (0.1181 in.), as shown.
(20) Clean the surface with
(a) Non Aqueous Cleaner_- Methyl-Ethyl-Ketone - (Material No.08BBF1) or Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(b) Abrade the surface of washers, rivet tails and heads with Abrasive-- Scotch Brite Pads - (Material No.14FAB1) and clean the surface with solvent Non Aqueous Cleaner_- Methyl-Ethyl-Ketone - (Material No.08BBF1) or Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) or touch up Surface Pretreatment-Light Alloys Chemical Conversion Yellow - (Material No.10ABC1) SRM 512111.
(c) Apply Primer Epoxy Paint-- Corrosion Inhibiting Structure (Material No.04DAB2) or Primer Paint-- - Composite Structure (Material No.04FMA5) on washers, rivet tails and heads.
(21) Let the primer dry.
(22) Apply the Top Coat Polyurethane_- Grey Internal Structure (Material No.04JME4) or Top Coat Polyurethane_- - External Structure (Material No.04JAA3) on the inner side (tail of rivets) and Top Coat Polyurethane_- - External Structure (Material No.04JAA3) to the outer side (head of rivet) of rivets (4).
(23) Let the top coat cure.
Subtask 53-35-11-960-050-D
(a) To know the clearance between the MLG door and the panels installed around it, refer to (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-11-400-001).
(b) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(c) Before the installation, find the location of the bonding points on the fairing panel (3).
1 If you install the same fairing panel (3), put it in the same position as before the removal.
2 If you install a new fairing panel, find the location of the bonding points.
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-803). Do this only on the screws (1) that you use for electrical bonding.
(e) Put the fairing panel (3) in position.
(g) TORQUE the screws (1) to between 0.45 and 0.35 m.daN (39.82 and 30.97 lbf.in )

(h) Do the electrical resistance measurement and the final protection of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(j) Examine the fuselage seal profiles (4), the wing seal profiles (5) and, if necessary, the type P seals (10) for damage.
(2) For fairing panel 191DT( 192DT):
(a) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(b) Before the installation, find the location of the bonding points on the fairing panel (2).
1 If you install the same fairing panel (2), put it in the same position as before the removal.
(c) If you install a new fairing panel, find the location of the bonding points.
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-803). Do this only on the screws (1) that you use for electrical bonding.
(e) Put the fairing panel (2) in position.
(f) Install the screws (3).
(g) TORQUE the screws (3) to between 0.45 and 0.35 m.daN (39.82 and 30.97 lbf.in )

(h) Do the electrical resistance measurement and the final protection of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(3) If you removed the microswitch, install it (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-71-400-001).
Subtask 53-35-11-420-050-O ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
(2) For fairing panels 191BT( 192BT), 191CT( 192CT), 191ET( 192ET), 147CB, 148DB and 191LB( 192LB):

1 TORQUE the screws (1) to between 0.45 and 0.39 m.daN (39.82 and 34.51 lbf.in )
for fairing panel 191CT( 192CT).
2 TORQUE the screws (1) to between 0.48 and 0.37 m.daN (42.48 and 32.74 lbf.in )
for fairing panels 191BT( 192BT) and 191ET( 192ET).
3 TORQUE the screws (1) to between 0.40 and 0.35 m.daN (35.40 and 30.97 lbf.in )
for fairing panels 147CB and 148DB.
4 TORQUE the screws (1) to between 0.30 and 0.27 m.daN (26.55 and 23.89 lbf.in )
for fairing panel 193AT( 194AT).
(h) Do the electrical resistance measurement and the final protection of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
1 Prepare the surface of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-803). Do this only on the screws (37), (38), (39) and (40) that you use for the electrical bonding.
2 Install the screws (37), (38), (39) and (40).
3 TORQUE the screws (37) to between 0.37 and 0.28 m.daN (32.74 and 24.78 lbf.in )

4 TORQUE the screws (38), (39) and (40) to between 0.48 and 0.37 m.daN (42.48 and 32.74 lbf.in )
.
5 Do the electrical resistance measurement and the final protection of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(4) For fairing panel 191DT( 192DT):
(a) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(b) Before the installation, find the location of the bonding points on the fairing panel (2).
1 If you install the same fairing panel (2), put it in the same position as before the removal.
(c) If you install a new fairing panel, find the location of the bonding points.
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-803). Do this only on the screws (3) that you use for electrical bonding.
(e) Put the fairing panel (2) in position.
(f) Install the screws (3).
(g) TORQUE the screws (3) to between 0.28 and 0.22 m.daN (24.78 and 19.47 lbf.in )
.
(h) Do the electrical resistance measurement and the final protection of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(5) For fairing panels 191BT( 192BT), 191CT( 192CT), 191ET( 192ET), 193AT( 194AT), 147CB, 148DB and 191LB( 192LB):
(a) Make sure that the seal profiles of the fairing panels (3) correctly touch the fuselage and/or the wing skins.
(b) Examine the fuselage seal profiles (4), the wing seal profiles (5) and (11) and, if necessary, the type P seals (10).
(c) Make sure that the seals of the fairing panels (3) are in good condition.
(6) For fairing panel 191DT( 192DT):
(a) Make sure that the seal profiles of the fairing panel (2) correctly touch the fuselage and/or the wing skins.
(b) Measure skin offset A between the fairing panel (2) and the adjacent panels.
(c) Make sure that skin offset A is 0 -0.7 mm or +0.7 mm (0 -0.0276 in. or +0.0276 in.).
(e) Make sure that the seals of the fairing panels (2) are in good condition.

(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is(are) in position on the flap/slat control lever to tell persons not to operate the flight controls.

A. Preparation for Installation
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Examine the fuselage seal profiles (4), the wing seal profiles (5) and (11) and, if necessary, the type P seals (10) for damage.
(4) Make sure that you replace the damaged pre-mod seals with the applicable post-mod seals. If a Service Bulletin (SB) is referred to, obey the instructions given in the SB before you install the post-mod seals.
(5) If you must install a new wing seal profile on fairing panel 191DT( 192DT):
(a) For the upper seal of the left wing:
1 Put the new rivets (12) through the washers (8), the seal retainer (7) and fairing panel (3).
2 Install the rivets (12) SRM 514200.
3 Make sure that the rivets (12) are flush with the surface of the fairing panel (3).
4 Clean the surface of the fairing panel (3) with Non Aqueous Cleaner_- Methyl-Ethyl-Ketone - (Material No.08BBF1) or Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
5 Abrade the surface of the washers (8), the rivet tails and the heads of the rivets with Abrasive-- Scotch Brite Pads - (Material No.14FAB1) .
6 Clean the surface of the washers (8) with Non Aqueous Cleaner_- Methyl-Ethyl-Ketone - (Material No.08BBF1) or Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
7 Apply the Surface Pretreatment-Light Alloys Chemical Conversion Yellow - (Material No.10ABC1) on the surface of the washers (8) SRM 512111.
8 Apply Primer Epoxy Paint-- Corrosion Inhibiting Structure (Material No.04DAB2) or Primer Paint-- - Composite Structure (Material No.04FMA5) on the washers (8), the rivet tails and the heads of the rivets.
9 Let the primer dry.
10 Apply Top Coat Polyurethane_- Grey Internal Structure (Material No.04JME4) or Top Coat Polyurethane_- - External Structure (Material No.04JAA3) on the inner side (tail of the rivets) and Top Coat Polyurethane_- - External Structure (Material No.04JAA3) on the outer side (head of the rivets) of the rivets (12).
11 Let the top coat cure.
(f) For the lower seals of the left and right wings:
1 Install the screws (9), the washers (8) and nuts (6).
(6) Prepare fairing panel 191DT( 192DT):
(a) Prepare the foam shim. For this, refer to detail B.
(b) Apply the BONDING COMPOUND PQ10054.040 (Caf.4) on the faces bonded to the seal.
(c) Install the foam shim in the area between the two-lip seal and the type P seal.
(d) Push the two-lip seal together and attach it with tape.
(e) Let it dry for a half hour.
(f) Remove the tape.
(7) For fairing panels 191BT( 192BT) and 191CT( 192CT):
(a) Do an inspection of the bonded seals and make sure that they are in good condition.
(b) If a seal is defective, replace it.
Subtask 53-35-11-560-050-E ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL NOTE: The wing-to-fuselage fairing panel is referred to in this procedure as the fairing panel.
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Examine the fuselage seal profiles (4), the wing seal profiles (5) and (11) and, if necessary, the type P seals (10) for damage.
(4) Make sure that you replace the damaged pre-mod seals with the applicable post-mod seals. If a Service Bulletin (SB) is referred to, obey the instructions given in the SB before you install the post-mod seals.
(5) If you must install a new wing seal profile on fairing panel 191DT( 192DT):
(a) For the upper seal of the left wing:
- Put the AIPC 53-35-03-04-090 WING SEAL PROFILE (5) and the seal retainer (7) in position on the fairing panel (3).
- Put the AIPC 53-35-03-04-130 WING SEAL PROFILE (5) and the seal retainer (7) in position on the fairing panel (3).
- Put the AIPC 53-35-03-04-100 WING SEAL PROFILE (5) and the seal retainer (7) in position on the fairing panel (3).
- Put the AIPC 53-35-03-04-140 WING SEAL PROFILE (5) and the seal retainer (7) in position on the fairing panel (3).
1 Put the new rivets (12) through the washers (8), the seal retainer (7) and fairing panel (3).
2 Install the rivets (12) SRM 514200.
3 Make sure that the rivets (12) are flush with the surface of the fairing panel (3).
4 Clean the surface of the fairing panel (3) with Non Aqueous Cleaner_- Methyl-Ethyl-Ketone - (Material No.08BBF1) or Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
5 Abrade the surface of the washers (8), the rivet tails and the heads of the rivets with Abrasive-- Scotch Brite Pads - (Material No.14FAB1) .
6 Clean the surface of the washers (8) with Non Aqueous Cleaner_- Methyl-Ethyl-Ketone - (Material No.08BBF1) or Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
7 Apply the Surface Pretreatment-Light Alloys Chemical Conversion Yellow - (Material No.10ABC1) on the surface of the washers (8) SRM 512111.
8 Apply Primer Epoxy Paint-- Corrosion Inhibiting Structure (Material No.04DAB2) or Primer Paint-- - Composite Structure (Material No.04FMA5) on the washers (8), the rivet tails and the heads of the rivets.
9 Let the primer dry.

11 Let the top coat cure.
(f) For the lower seals of the left and right wings:

(2) Make sure that there is no Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Fillet Structure (Material No.06AEB2) on the two-lip seals of fairing panel 191DT( 192DT) or Release Agent-- Liquid Wax - (Material No.14DBB1) on the wing surface and the fuselage skin.
(3) Clean the fuselage and wing surfaces with Non Aqueous Cleaner_- Methyl-Ethyl-Ketone - (Material No.08BBF1) or Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(4) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(5) Examine the fuselage seal profiles (4), the wing seal profiles (5) and (11) and, if necessary, the type P seals (10) or the root fillet fairing (10) for damage.
(6) Make sure that you replace the damaged pre-mod seals with the applicable post-mod seals. If a Service Bulletin (SB) is referred to, obey the instructions given in the SB before you install the post-mod seals.
(7) For fairing panel 191DT( 192DT), do the inspection of the fuselage seal profiles (7), the wing seal profiles (5) and (11) and, if necessary, the type P seals (6) for damage.
(8) If you must install a new wing seal profile on fairing panel 191DT( 192DT):
(a) For the upper seal of the left wing:
1 Put the new rivets (12) through the washers (8), the seal retainer (7) and the fairing panel (3).
2 Install the rivets (12) SRM 514200.
3 Make sure that the rivets (12) are flush with the surface of the fairing panel (3).
4 Clean the surface of the fairing panel (3) with Non Aqueous Cleaner_- Methyl-Ethyl-Ketone - (Material No.08BBF1) or Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
5 Abrade the surface of the washers (8), the rivet tails and the heads of the rivets with Abrasive-- Scotch Brite Pads - (Material No.14FAB1) .
6 Clean the surface of the washers (8) with Non Aqueous Cleaner_- Methyl-Ethyl-Ketone - (Material No.08BBF1) or Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .

9 Let the primer dry.
10 Apply Top Coat Polyurethane_- Grey Internal Structure (Material No.04JME4) or Top Coat Polyurethane_- - External Structure (Material No.04JAA3) on the inner side (tail of the rivets) and Top Coat Polyurethane_- - External Structure (Material No.04JAA3) on the outer side (head of the rivets) of the rivets (12).
11 Let the top coat cure.
(f) For the lower seals of the left and right wings:
1 Install the screws (9), the washers (8) and nuts (6).
(9) Prepare fairing panel 191DT( 192DT):
(a) Put the fairing panel in the installation position.
(b) Make marks on the wing surface and the fuselage skin with the PENCIL - NON METALLIC to identify the edges of the fairing panel.
(c) Remove the fairing panel.
(d) Apply TAPE - ADHESIVE on the wing surface and the fuselage skin, behind the marks you made to prevent contamination with the sealant.
(e) Make the inner surface of the seals rough with the Abrasive-- Scotch Brite Pads - (Material No.14FAB1) .
(f) Clean the surfaces that follow with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Petroleum Based - (Material No.08BBB1) :
(h) Apply sealant on the two-lip seals:
1 Fill the two-lip seals with Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Fillet Structure (Material No.06AEB2) .
2 Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Fillet Structure (Material No.06AEB2) with a SPATULA - PLASTIC that has the correct shape.
3 Do not apply sealant in the area of the type P seal.
(i) Immediately install the fairing panel while the sealant is soft.
(j) Apply pressure at the seals to install the fairing panel.
(l) Make sure that the seals correctly touch the wing surface and the fuselage skin.
(m) Remove the adhesive tape from the wing surface and the fuselage skin.
(10) For fairing panels 191BT( 192BT) and 191CT( 192CT):
(a) Do an inspection of the bonded seals and make sure that they are in good condition.
(b) If a seal is defective, replace it.
(11) If you must install a new root fillet fairing on fairing panel 191BT( 192BT):
(a) Cut the end of the root fillet fairing and make a chamfer SRM 512721.
(b) Make sure that distance D is 10 mm (0.39 in.) maximum.
(c) Apply a layer of Surface Pretreatment-Light Alloys Chemical Conversion Yellow - (Material No.10ABC1) and Primer Epoxy Paint-- Corrosion Inhibiting Structure (Material No.04DAB2) on the edges that you cut.

(h) Apply sealant on the two-lip seals:
1 Fill the upper two-lip seal with Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Fillet Structure (Material No.06AEB2) .
2 Fill the lower two-lip seal with Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) .
3 Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Fillet Structure (Material No.06AEB2) or Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) with a SPATULA - PLASTIC that has the correct shape.
4 Apply sealant on the full length of the lower two-lip seal or to a minimum of 40 mm (1.57 in.).
(i) Immediately install the fairing panel while the sealant is soft.
(j) Apply pressure at the seals to install the fairing panel.
(l) Make sure that the seals correctly touch the wing surface and the fuselage skin.
(m) Remove the adhesive tape from the wing surface and the fuselage skin.
(10) For fairing panels 191BT( 192BT) and 191CT( 192CT):
(a) Do an inspection of the bonded seals and make sure that they are in good condition.
(b) If a seal is defective, replace it.
(11) If you must install a new root fillet fairing on fairing panel 191BT( 192BT):
(a) Cut the end of the root fillet fairing and make a chamfer SRM 512721.
(b) Make sure that distance D is 10 mm (0.39 in.) maximum.
(c) Apply a layer of Surface Pretreatment-Light Alloys Chemical Conversion Yellow - (Material No.10ABC1) and Primer Epoxy Paint-- Corrosion Inhibiting Structure (Material No.04DAB2) on the edges that you cut.
Subtask 53-35-11-560-050-T ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL NOTE: The wing-to-fuselage fairing panel is referred to in this procedure as the fairing panel.
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.(2) Make sure that there is no Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Fillet Structure (Material No.06AEB2) or Polysulfide Sealant-Low Density Multi Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06ACB1) on the two-lip seals or Release Agent-- Liquid Wax - (Material No.14DBB1) on the fuselage skin.
(3) Clean the wing and fuselage surfaces with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner_- Methyl-Ethyl-Ketone - (Material No.08BBF1) or Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(4) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(5) Examine the fuselage seal profiles (4), the wing seal profiles (5) and (11) and, if necessary, the type P seals (10) for damage.
(6) Make sure that you replace the damaged pre-mod seals with the applicable post-mod seals. If a Service Bulletin (SB) is referred to, obey the instructions given in the SB before you install the post-mod seals.
(7) For fairing panel 191DT( 192DT):
(a) Examine the fuselage seal profiles (18), (19), (21), (25), (26) and (27) and the wing seal profiles (15) for damage.
(8) If you must install new wing seal profiles on fairing panel 191DT( 192DT):
(a) For the upper seal of the left wing, use these seal profiles:
- The new AIPC 53-35-83-04-200 WING SEAL PROFILE (19)
- The new AIPC 53-35-83-04-220 WING SEAL PROFILE (18)
- The new AIPC 53-35-83-04-240 WING SEAL PROFILE (25)
- The new AIPC 53-35-83-04-260 WING SEAL PROFILE (26)
- The new AIPC 53-35-83-04-160 WING SEAL PROFILE (21), and
- The new AIPC 53-35-83-04-180 WING SEAL PROFILE (27).
(c) For the upper seal of the right wing, use these seal profiles:
- The new AIPC 53-35-83-04-210 WING SEAL PROFILE (19)
- The new AIPC 53-35-83-04-230 WING SEAL PROFILE (18)
- The new AIPC 53-35-83-04-250 WING SEAL PROFILE (25)
- The new AIPC 53-35-83-04-270 WING SEAL PROFILE (26)
- The new AIPC 53-35-83-04-170 WING SEAL PROFILE (21), and
- The new AIPC 53-35-83-04-190 WING SEAL PROFILE (27).
(e) For the upper seals of the left and right wings:
1 Put the wing seal profiles (18), (21), (25), (26), (27) and (19) and the plates (20) and (22) in position on the fairing panel (2).
2 Install the washers (13), the screws (11) and the nuts (17).
3 Install the new washers (23) (where applicable) and the new rivets (24) SRM 514200.
4 Tighten the nuts (17).
5 Make sure that the rivets (24) and the screws (11) are flush with the surface of the fairing panel (2).
6 Clean the surface of the fairing panel (2) with Non Aqueous Cleaner_- Methyl-Ethyl-Ketone - (Material No.08BBF1) or Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
7 Abrade the surface of the washers (23), the rivet tails and the heads of the rivets with Abrasive-- Scotch Brite Pads - (Material No.14FAB1) .
8 Clean the surface of the washers (23) with Non Aqueous Cleaner_- Methyl-Ethyl-Ketone - (Material No.08BBF1) or Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
9 Apply the Surface Pretreatment-Light Alloys Chemical Conversion Yellow - (Material No.10ABC1) on the surface of the washers (23) SRM 512111.
10 Apply Primer Epoxy Paint-- Corrosion Inhibiting Structure (Material No.04DAB2) or Primer Paint-- - Composite Structure (Material No.04FMA5) on the washers (23), the rivet tails and the heads of the rivets.
11 Let the primer dry.
12 Apply Top Coat Polyurethane_- Grey Internal Structure (Material No.04JME4) or Top Coat Polyurethane_- - External Structure (Material No.04JAA3) on the inner side (tail of the rivets) and Top Coat Polyurethane_- - External Structure (Material No.04JAA3) on the outer side (head of the rivets) of the rivets (24).
13 Let the top coat cure.
(f) For the lower seals of the left and right wings:
1 Put the wing seal profiles (15), the plates (14) and the strips (16) in position on the fairing panel (2).
2 Install the screws (11) and (12), the washers (13) and the nuts (17).
3 Tighten the nuts (17).
(9) Prepare fairing panel 191DT( 192DT):
(a) Put the fairing panel in the installation position.
(b) Make marks on the wing surface and the fuselage skin with the PENCIL - NON METALLIC to identify the edges of the fairing panel.
(c) Remove the fairing panel.
(d) Apply TAPE - ADHESIVE on the wing surface and the fuselage skin, behind the marks you made, to prevent contamination with the sealant.
(e) Make the inner surface of the seals rough with the Abrasive-- Scotch Brite Pads - (Material No.14FAB1) .
(f) Clean the surfaces that follow with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Petroleum Based - (Material No.08BBB1) :
- The inner surface of the seals
- The mating surfaces of the seals on the wing surface and the fuselage skin.
(h) Apply sealant on the two-lip seals:
1 Fill the upper two-lip seal with Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Fillet Structure (Material No.06AEB2) .
2 Fill the lower two-lip seal with Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) .
3 Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Fillet Structure (Material No.06AEB2) or Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) with a SPATULA - PLASTIC that has the correct shape.

(i) Immediately install the fairing panel while the sealant is soft.
(j) Apply pressure at the seals to install the fairing panel.
NOTE: Because of the stiffness of the two-lip seals and the sealant, the installation of the fairing panel is not easy.
(k) Make sure that the seals are in the correct position adjacent to the wing surface and the fuselage skin.(l) Make sure that the seals correctly touch the wing surface and the fuselage skin.
(m) Remove the adhesive tape from the wing surface and the fuselage skin.
(10) For fairing panels 191BT( 192BT) and 191CT( 192CT):
(a) Do an inspection of the bonded seals and make sure that they are in good condition.
(b) If a seal is defective, replace it.
(11) If you must install a new root fillet fairing on fairing panel 191BT( 192BT):
(a) Cut the end of the root fillet fairing and make a chamfer SRM 512721.

2 Install the rivets (12) SRM 514200.
3 Make sure that the rivets (12) are flush with the surface of the fairing panel (3).
4 Clean the surface of the fairing panel (3) with Non Aqueous Cleaner_- Methyl-Ethyl-Ketone - (Material No.08BBF1) or Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
5 Abrade the surface of the washers (8), the rivet tails and the heads of the rivets with Abrasive-- Scotch Brite Pads - (Material No.14FAB1) .
6 Clean the surface of the washers (8) with Non Aqueous Cleaner_- Methyl-Ethyl-Ketone - (Material No.08BBF1) or Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .

- Put the AIPC 53-35-03-04-100 WING SEAL PROFILE (11) or the AIPC 53-35-83-04-210 WING SEAL PROFILE (11) and the seal retainer (7) in position on the fairing panel (3).
- Put the AIPC 53-35-03-04-140 WING SEAL PROFILE (5) or the AIPC 53-35-83-04-290 WING SEAL PROFILE (5) and the seal retainer (7) in position on the fairing panel (3).
1 Put the new rivets (12) through the washers (8), the seal retainer (7) and the fairing panel (3).
2 Install the rivets (12) SRM 514200.
3 Make sure that the rivets (12) are flush with the surface of the fairing panel (3).
4 Clean the surface of the fairing panel (3) with Non Aqueous Cleaner_- Methyl-Ethyl-Ketone - (Material No.08BBF1) or Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
5 Abrade the surface of the washers (8), the rivet tails and the heads of the rivets with Abrasive-- Scotch Brite Pads - (Material No.14FAB1) .
6 Clean the surface of the washers (8) with Non Aqueous Cleaner_- Methyl-Ethyl-Ketone - (Material No.08BBF1) or Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
7 Apply the Surface Pretreatment-Light Alloys Chemical Conversion Yellow - (Material No.10ABC1) on the surface of the washers (8) SRM 512111.

WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
B. Replacement of the Bonded Seals of the Panels 191BT ( 192BT) and 191CT ( 192CT) NOTE: The seal replacement procedure for one panel is given. The procedure is almost the same for all the panels.
(1) Remove the rivets (4) SRM 514200 from the panel (3) and discard the rivet burrs (2). (2) Remove and discard the defective seal (1) from the panel (3).
(3) Clean the panel with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and the Non Aqueous Cleaner_- Methyl-Ethyl-Ketone - (Material No.08BBF1) to remove the remaining adhesive.
(4) Clean the new seal (1) with soap and hot water. Let it dry.
(5) Put the seal (1) in its correct position at the edge of the panel (3).
(6) If necessary, cut the seal (1) to its correct length.
(7) Hold the seal (1) in its position. Put marks on it to align with the rivet holes in the panel (3).
(8) Remove the seal (1) and make the holes for the rivets (4).
(9) Make the surface of the panel (3) rough with the CLOTH - ABRASIVE (GRADE 120-180).
NOTE: Be careful that you do not damage the surface of the panel (3).
(10) Lightly rub the mating surface of the seal (1) with the CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 240). (11) Clean the mating surfaces of the seal (1) and the panel (3) with Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and the Non Aqueous Cleaner_- Methyl-Ethyl-Ketone - (Material No.08BBF1) .
(12) Apply a thin layer of the primer of the Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) to the surface of the panel (3).
(13) Let the primer dry for not less than one hour and not more than six hours.
NOTE: You must install the seal in less than six hours. If not, remove the cured primer and apply new primer.
(14) Use a SPATULA - PLASTIC to apply a layer of the adhesive of the Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) . (15) Make sure that air bubbles do not show. Air bubbles are not permitted.
(16) Put the seal (1) in its position. Align the holes in the seal (1) with the pre-drilled holes in the panel (3).
NOTE: You must install the seal (1) on the panel (3) in less than ten minutes after adhesive applied.
(17) Put the new rivets (4) through the panel (3) and the seal (1). Install the new rivet burrs (2) on the tails of the rivets (4). CAUTION:
DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACES. THE COMPONENTS ARE MADE OF CARBONFIBER REINFORCED PLASTIC.
(18) Install the rivets (4) SRM 514200. Make sure that the rivets (4) are flush with the surface of the panel (3). (19) Make sure that the height of the tails of the rivets (4) plus the thickness of the rivet burrs (2) is less than 3.0 mm (0.1181 in.), as shown.
(20) Clean the surface with
(a) Non Aqueous Cleaner_- Methyl-Ethyl-Ketone - (Material No.08BBF1) or Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(b) Abrade the surface of washers, rivet tails and heads with Abrasive-- Scotch Brite Pads - (Material No.14FAB1) and clean the surface with solvent Non Aqueous Cleaner_- Methyl-Ethyl-Ketone - (Material No.08BBF1) or Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) or touch up Surface Pretreatment-Light Alloys Chemical Conversion Yellow - (Material No.10ABC1) SRM 512111.
(c) Apply Primer Epoxy Paint-- Corrosion Inhibiting Structure (Material No.04DAB2) or Primer Paint-- - Composite Structure (Material No.04FMA5) on washers, rivet tails and heads.

(22) Apply the Top Coat Polyurethane_- Grey Internal Structure (Material No.04JME4) or Top Coat Polyurethane_- - External Structure (Material No.04JAA3) on the inner side (tail of rivets) and Top Coat Polyurethane_- - External Structure (Material No.04JAA3) to the outer side (head of rivet) of rivets (4).
(23) Let the top coat cure.
C. Replacement of the Sealing of Panel 193AT(194AT)
(a) Remove the screws (6) and the washers (9) from the support (8).
(b) Remove the studs (5) and the washers (4).
(c) Remove the sealing plate (2).
(d) Remove the sealing (7) and the filler (3).
(2) Prepare the replacement sealing (7) as follows:
(a) Temporarily install the new AIPC 53-35-03-35-170 SEALING (7), the new AIPC 53-35-83-35-170 SEALING (7) or the new AIPC 53-35-03-37-210 SEALING (7) together with the sealing plate (2) on the panel (1).
(b) Cut the new AIPC 53-35-03-35-170 SEALING (7), the new AIPC 53-35-83-35-170 SEALING (7) or the new AIPC 53-35-03-37-210 SEALING (7) to agree with the shape and the contour of the initial sealing, as shown in detail C.
1 Make sure that dimension A is 48.7 mm (1.9173 in.).
2 Make sure that dimension B is 11.36 mm (0.4472 in.).
3 Make sure that dimension C is 2.4 mm (0.0945 in.).
4 Make sure that dimension D is 20.19 mm (0.7949 in.).
5 Make sure that dimension E is 32.36 mm (1.2740 in.).
(c) Remove the sealing plate (2).
(3) Install the new sealing (7) and the filler (3):
(a) Put the new sealing (7) and the filler (3) in position.
(b) Install the sealing plate (2), the washers (4) and the studs (5).
(d) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) in the space between the sealing plate (2) and the panel (1).
(e) Install the washers (9) and the screws (6) on the support (8).
(f) Tighten the screws (6).
Subtask 53-35-11-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL NOTE: This procedure is for the replacement of panel 193AT. It is the same for the replacement of panel 194AT.
(1) Remove the sealing (7) and the filler (3):(a) Remove the screws (6) and the washers (9) from the support (8).
(b) Remove the studs (5) and the washers (4).
(c) Remove the sealing plate (2).
(d) Remove the sealing (7) and the filler (3).
(2) Prepare the replacement sealing (7) as follows:
(a) Temporarily install the new AIPC 53-35-03-35-170 SEALING (7), the new AIPC 53-35-83-35-170 SEALING (7) or the new AIPC 53-35-03-37-210 SEALING (7) together with the sealing plate (2) on the panel (1).
(b) Cut the new AIPC 53-35-03-35-170 SEALING (7), the new AIPC 53-35-83-35-170 SEALING (7) or the new AIPC 53-35-03-37-210 SEALING (7) to agree with the shape and the contour of the initial sealing, as shown in detail C.
1 Make sure that dimension A is 48.7 mm (1.9173 in.).
2 Make sure that dimension B is 11.36 mm (0.4472 in.).
3 Make sure that dimension C is 2.4 mm (0.0945 in.).
4 Make sure that dimension D is 20.19 mm (0.7949 in.).
5 Make sure that dimension E is 32.36 mm (1.2740 in.).
(c) Remove the sealing plate (2).
(3) Install the new sealing (7) and the filler (3):
(a) Put the new sealing (7) and the filler (3) in position.
(b) Install the sealing plate (2), the washers (4) and the studs (5).
NOTE: For a correct installation, it is necessary to use the applicable grip length code (-10/+10) for the studs (5) AIPC 53-35-03-.
(c) Tighten the studs (5).(d) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) in the space between the sealing plate (2) and the panel (1).
(e) Install the washers (9) and the screws (6) on the support (8).
(f) Tighten the screws (6).
D. Install the Wing-to-Fuselage Fairing Panels
(b) Before installation, find the location of the bonding points on the wing-to-fuselage fairing panel (3).
1 If you install the same fairing (3), put it in the same position as before the removal.
2 If you install a new fairing, find:
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-803). Do this only on the screws (1) that you use for electrical bonding.
(d) Put the fairing panel (3) in position.
(f) TORQUE the screws (1) to between 0.45 and .35 m.daN (39.82 and 30.97 lbf.in )

(g) Do the electrical resistance measurement and the final protection of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(3) For fairing panels 191DT( 192DT):
(a) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(b) Before installation, find the location of the bonding points on the wing-to-fuselage fairing panel (2).
1 If you install the same fairing (2), put it in the same position as before the removal.
(c) If you install a new fairing, find:
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-803). Do this only on the screws (3) that you use for electrical bonding.
(e) Put the fairing panel (2) in position.
(f) Install the screws (3) and the washers (4).
(g) TORQUE the screws (3) to between 0.45 and .35 m.daN (39.82 and 30.97 lbf.in )

(h) Do the electrical resistance measurement and the final protection of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(4) If removed, for fairing panels 191BT ( 192BT), 191CT ( 192CT), 191ET ( 192ET), 193AT ( 194AT), 147CB, 148DB and 191LB ( 192LB):
(a) Make sure that the seal profiles of the fairing panels (3) correctly touch the fuselage and/or the wing skins.
(b) Examine the fuselage seal profiles (4), wing seal profiles (5) and (11) and/or seals type 'P' (10), if necessary.
(5) For fairing panels 191DT( 192DT) :
(a) Make sure that the seal profiles of the fairing panels (2) correctly touch the fuselage and/or the wing skins.
(b) Examine the fuselage seal profiles (7), wing seal profiles (5) and (11) and/or seals type 'P' (6), if necessary.
Subtask 53-35-11-420-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL CAUTION:

NOTE: Fairings 193AT and 194AT are part of the Offwing Escape Slides. Before you try to install these fairings (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-42-400-001).
(a) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.(b) Before installation, find the location of the bonding points on the wing-to-fuselage fairing panel (3).
1 If you install the same fairing (3), put it in the same position as before the removal.
2 If you install a new fairing, find:
- The location of the bonding points. The bonding points have a rough surface, without protection, of diameter 20 mm (0.7874 in.) around the fastener hole.
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-803). Do this only on the screws (1) that you use for electrical bonding.
(d) Put the fairing panel (3) in position.
CAUTION:
BEFORE YOU INSTALL THE SCREWS ON THE PANEL, MAKE SURE THAT THE POSITION OF THE SCREWS IS CORRECT. AN INCORRECT POSITION OF THE SCREWS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT BELOW THE PANEL.
(e) Install the screws (1) and the washers (2).(f) TORQUE the screws (1) to between 0.45 and .35 m.daN (39.82 and 30.97 lbf.in )
.(g) Do the electrical resistance measurement and the final protection of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
NOTE: The measurement of the surface electrical resistance is not necessary if the panels are installed subsequently to their removal without modifications or repairs.
(2) If removed, install the micro-switch (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-71-400-001).(3) For fairing panels 191DT( 192DT):
(a) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(b) Before installation, find the location of the bonding points on the wing-to-fuselage fairing panel (2).
1 If you install the same fairing (2), put it in the same position as before the removal.
(c) If you install a new fairing, find:
- The location of the bonding points. The bonding points have a rough surface, without protection, of a diameter 20 mm (0.7874 in.) around the fastener hole.
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-803). Do this only on the screws (3) that you use for electrical bonding.
(e) Put the fairing panel (2) in position.
(f) Install the screws (3) and the washers (4).
(g) TORQUE the screws (3) to between 0.45 and .35 m.daN (39.82 and 30.97 lbf.in )
.(h) Do the electrical resistance measurement and the final protection of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).

(a) Make sure that the seal profiles of the fairing panels (3) correctly touch the fuselage and/or the wing skins.
(b) Examine the fuselage seal profiles (4), wing seal profiles (5) and (11) and/or seals type 'P' (10), if necessary.
(5) For fairing panels 191DT( 192DT) :
(a) Make sure that the seal profiles of the fairing panels (2) correctly touch the fuselage and/or the wing skins.
(b) Examine the fuselage seal profiles (7), wing seal profiles (5) and (11) and/or seals type 'P' (6), if necessary.
D. Install the Wing-to-Fuselage Fairing Panels
(b) Before installation, find the location of the bonding points on the wing-to-fuselage fairing panel (3).
1 If you install the same fairing (3), put it in the same position as before a removal.
2 If you install a new fairing, find:

(a) If removed, install the emergency overwing lights (Ref. AMM D/O 33-51-15-40).
(3) If removed, install the micro-switch (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-71-400-001).

(1) For fairing panels 191BT( 192BT), 191CT( 192CT), 191ET( 192ET), 147CB, 148DB and 191LB( 192LB):(a) To know the clearance between the MLG door and the panels installed around it, refer to (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-11-400-001).
(b) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(c) Before the installation, find the location of the bonding points on the fairing panel (3).
1 If you install the same fairing panel (3), put it in the same position as before the removal.
2 If you install a new fairing panel, find the location of the bonding points.
NOTE: The bonding points have a rough surface without protection, with a diameter of 20 mm (0.7874 in.) around the fastener hole.
(d) Prepare the surface of the bonding point(s)(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-803). Do this only on the screws (1) that you use for electrical bonding.
(e) Put the fairing panel (3) in position.

(i) Make sure that the seal profiles of the fairing panels (3) correctly touch the fuselage and/or the wing skins. (j) Examine the fuselage seal profiles (4), the wing seal profiles (5) and, if necessary, the type P seals (10) for damage.
(2) For fairing panel 191DT( 192DT):
(a) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(b) Before the installation, find the location of the bonding points on the fairing panel (2).
1 If you install the same fairing panel (2), put it in the same position as before the removal.
(c) If you install a new fairing panel, find the location of the bonding points.
NOTE: The bonding points have a rough surface without protection, with a diameter of 20 mm (0.7874 in.) around the fastener hole.
(d) Prepare the surface of the bonding point(s)(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-803). Do this only on the screws (1) that you use for electrical bonding.
(e) Put the fairing panel (2) in position.
(f) Install the screws (3).
(g) TORQUE the screws (3) to between 0.45 and 0.35 m.daN (39.82 and 30.97 lbf.in )
.(h) Do the electrical resistance measurement and the final protection of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).

(i) If you removed the emergency overwing lights, install them (Ref. AMM TASK 33-51-15-400-001). (3) If you removed the microswitch, install it (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-71-400-001).

(1) Before you install fairing panels 193AT and 194AT, install the off-wing escape slides (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-42-400-001).(2) For fairing panels 191BT( 192BT), 191CT( 192CT), 191ET( 192ET), 147CB, 148DB and 191LB( 192LB):
(a) To know the clearance between the MLG door and the panels installed around it, refer to (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-11-400-001).
(b) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(c) Before the installation, find the location of the bonding points on the fairing panels (3).
1 If you install the same fairing panel (3), put it in the same position as before the removal.
2 If you install a new fairing panel, find the location of the bonding points.
NOTE: The bonding points have a rough surface without protection, with a diameter of 20 mm (0.7874 in.) around the fastener hole.
(d) Prepare the surface of the bonding point(s)(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-803). Do this only on the screws (1) that you use for electrical bonding.
(e) Put the fairing panel (3) in position.

for fairing panel 191CT( 192CT).2 TORQUE the screws (1) to between 0.48 and 0.37 m.daN (42.48 and 32.74 lbf.in )
for fairing panels 191BT( 192BT) and 191ET( 192ET).3 TORQUE the screws (1) to between 0.40 and 0.35 m.daN (35.40 and 30.97 lbf.in )
for fairing panels 147CB and 148DB.4 TORQUE the screws (1) to between 0.30 and 0.27 m.daN (26.55 and 23.89 lbf.in )
for fairing panel 193AT( 194AT).(h) Do the electrical resistance measurement and the final protection of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).

(i) For fairing panel 191LB( 192LB):1 Prepare the surface of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-803). Do this only on the screws (37), (38), (39) and (40) that you use for the electrical bonding.
2 Install the screws (37), (38), (39) and (40).
3 TORQUE the screws (37) to between 0.37 and 0.28 m.daN (32.74 and 24.78 lbf.in )
.4 TORQUE the screws (38), (39) and (40) to between 0.48 and 0.37 m.daN (42.48 and 32.74 lbf.in )
.5 Do the electrical resistance measurement and the final protection of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
NOTE: The measurement of the surface electrical resistance is not necessary if the panels are installed subsequently to their removal without modifications or repairs.
(3) If you removed the microswitch, install it (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-71-400-001).(4) For fairing panel 191DT( 192DT):
(a) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(b) Before the installation, find the location of the bonding points on the fairing panel (2).
1 If you install the same fairing panel (2), put it in the same position as before the removal.
(c) If you install a new fairing panel, find the location of the bonding points.
NOTE: The bonding points have a rough surface without protection, with a diameter of 20 mm (0.7874 in.) around the fastener hole.
(d) Prepare the surface of the bonding point(s)(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-803). Do this only on the screws (3) that you use for electrical bonding.
(e) Put the fairing panel (2) in position.
(f) Install the screws (3).
(g) TORQUE the screws (3) to between 0.28 and 0.22 m.daN (24.78 and 19.47 lbf.in )
.(h) Do the electrical resistance measurement and the final protection of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
NOTE: The measurement of the surface electrical resistance is not necessary if the panels are installed subsequently to their removal without modifications or repairs.
(i) If you removed the emergency overwing lights, install them (Ref. AMM TASK 33-51-15-400-001). (5) For fairing panels 191BT( 192BT), 191CT( 192CT), 191ET( 192ET), 193AT( 194AT), 147CB, 148DB and 191LB( 192LB):
(a) Make sure that the seal profiles of the fairing panels (3) correctly touch the fuselage and/or the wing skins.
(b) Examine the fuselage seal profiles (4), the wing seal profiles (5) and (11) and, if necessary, the type P seals (10).
(c) Make sure that the seals of the fairing panels (3) are in good condition.
(6) For fairing panel 191DT( 192DT):
(a) Make sure that the seal profiles of the fairing panel (2) correctly touch the fuselage and/or the wing skins.
(b) Measure skin offset A between the fairing panel (2) and the adjacent panels.
(c) Make sure that skin offset A is 0 -0.7 mm or +0.7 mm (0 -0.0276 in. or +0.0276 in.).
NOTE: A tolerance of 0 -1 mm or +1 mm (0 -0.0394 in. or +0.0394 in.) on 10% of the fairing periphery assembly or 0 -13 mm or +13 mm (0 -0.5118 in. or +0.5118 in.) on 5% of the fairing periphery assembly is permitted.
(d) Examine the strips (16) and the wing seal profiles (15), (18), (19), (21), (25), (26) and (27).(e) Make sure that the seals of the fairing panels (2) are in good condition.
E. Installation of the Root Fillet Fairing of Fairing Panel 191BT( 192BT)
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) If necessary, remove the remaining sealant from the mating surface of the root fillet fairing (1) and fairing panel 191BT( 192BT) with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(4) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) on the mating surface of the root fillet fairing (1).
(5) Prepare the surface of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-803).
(6) Put the root fillet fairing (1) in position.
(7) Install the washers (2) and the screws (3) and (5).
(8) TORQUE the screws (3) and (5) to between 0.45 and 0.35 m.daN (39.82 and 30.97 lbf.in )

(11) Fill the holes of the plugs (4) with Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) to make a smooth surface between the root fillet fairing (1) and fairing panel 191BT( 192BT).
(12) Make sure that out-of-flushness C between the root fillet fairing (1) and fairing panel 191BT( 192BT) is 0 -2 mm or +2 mm (0 -0.08 in. or +0.08 in.).
Subtask 53-35-11-420-051-E ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) If necessary, remove the remaining sealant from the mating surface of the root fillet fairing (1) and fairing panel 191BT( 192BT) with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(4) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) on the mating surface of the root fillet fairing (1).
(5) Prepare the surface of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-803).
(6) Put the root fillet fairing (1) in position.
(7) Install the washers (2) and the screws (3) and (5).
(8) TORQUE the screws (3) and (5) to between 0.45 and 0.35 m.daN (39.82 and 30.97 lbf.in )
. (9) Do the electrical resistance measurement and the final protection of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
NOTE: The measurement of the surface electrical resistance is not necessary if the panels are installed subsequently to their removal without modifications or repairs.
(10) Install the plugs (4) with Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) in the root fillet fairing (1). (11) Fill the holes of the plugs (4) with Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) to make a smooth surface between the root fillet fairing (1) and fairing panel 191BT( 192BT).
(12) Make sure that out-of-flushness C between the root fillet fairing (1) and fairing panel 191BT( 192BT) is 0 -2 mm or +2 mm (0 -0.08 in. or +0.08 in.).
NOTE: This step is applicable with the slats retracted or extended.
(13) Measure clearance E along distance F of 150 mm (5.91 in.). Make sure that clearance E between the root fillet fairing (1) and fairing panel 191BT( 192BT) is 3 mm (0.12 in.) maximum.NOTE: This step is applicable with the slats retracted or extended.
(14) Retract the slats (Ref. AMM TASK 27-80-00-866-005). E. Installation of the Root Fillet Fairing of Fairing Panel 191BT( 192BT)
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) If necessary, remove the remaining sealant from the mating surface of the root fillet fairing (1) and fairing panel 191BT( 192BT) with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(4) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) on the mating surface of the root fillet fairing (1).
(5) Put the root fillet fairing (1) in position.
(6) If you install a new root fillet fairing (1), drill the holes with the DRILL - NO 11 (DIA 0,191 IN - 4,851 MM).
(7) Install the washers (2) and the screws (3) and (5).
(8) TORQUE the screws (3) and (5) to between 40 and 35 lbf.in (0.45 and 0.40 m.daN )

(9) Apply Silicone Adhesive Sealant-Non corrosive High Strength One part paste - (Material No.06CGD1) on the plugs (4).
(10) Install the plugs (4) on the root fillet fairing (1).
(11) Fill the holes of the plugs (4) with Silicone Adhesive Sealant-Non corrosive High Strength One part paste - (Material No.06CGD1) to make a smooth surface between the root fillet fairing (1) and fairing panel 191BT( 192BT).
(12) Make sure that clearance A between surface A and surface B is 12 -0 mm or +2 mm (0.4724 -0 in. or +0.0787 in.).
(13) Make sure that out-of-flushness B between surface A and surface B is 0 -2 mm or +2 mm (0 -0.0787 in. or +0.0787 in.)
(14) Make sure that out-of-flushness C between the root fillet fairing (1) and fairing panel 191BT( 192BT) is 0 -2 mm or +2 mm (0 -0.08 in. or +0.08 in.).

(12) Make sure that clearance A between surface A and surface B is 12 -0 mm or +2 mm (0.4724 -0 in. or +0.0787 in.).
(13) Make sure that out-of-flushness B between surface A and surface B is 0 -2 mm or +2 mm (0 -0.0787 in. or +0.0787 in.)
(14) Make sure that out-of-flushness C between the root fillet fairing (1) and fairing panel 191BT( 192BT) is 0 -2 mm or +2 mm (0 -0.08 in. or +0.08 in.).
NOTE: This step is applicable with the slats retracted or extended.
(15) Measure clearance E along distance F of 150 mm (5.91 in.). Make sure that clearance E between the root fillet fairing (1) and fairing panel 191BT( 192BT) is 3 mm (0.12 in.) maximum.NOTE: This step is applicable with the slats retracted or extended.
(16) Retract the slats (Ref. AMM TASK 27-80-00-866-005). F. Installation of the Access Panel 193BB (194BB) with the Slide Panel
(1) Make sure that the flaps are retracted (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-009).
(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Install the slide panel (10) on the access panel (3).
(5) Put the access panel (3) in its correct installation position.
(6) Attach the bracket assembly (9) to the slide panel (10) as follows:
(a) Align the anchor nuts of the bracket assembly (9) with the holes of the slide panel (10).
(b) Install the bushes (11) and the screws (12) on the slide panel (10).
(7) Install the screws (5) on the lower clip assembly (6).
(8) Install the screws (4) on the lower side of the access panel (3), which you can see.
(9) Extend the flaps sufficiently to attach the upper side of the access panel (3) and the sealing panel (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-008).
(10) Install the screws (5) on the upper clip assembly (7).
(11) Install the screws (4) on the upper side of the access panel (3).
(12) Make sure that all the screws of the access panel (3) are installed.
(13) TORQUE the screws (4) and (5) to between 0.45 and 0.35 m.daN (39.82 and 30.97 lbf.in )

(14) Make sure that clearance J1 between the drive trunnion (8) and the slide panel (10) is between 4 mm (0.1575 in.) and 22 mm (0.8661 in.).
(15) Put the sealing panel (1) in its correct installation position.
(16) Install the sealing panel (1) on the access panel (3) with the screws (2).
(17) TORQUE the screws (2) to between 0.45 and 0.35 m.daN (39.82 and 30.97 lbf.in )

(18) Fill out the gaps with the Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) to get a smooth contour.

(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.

. (14) Make sure that clearance J1 between the drive trunnion (8) and the slide panel (10) is between 4 mm (0.1575 in.) and 22 mm (0.8661 in.).
(15) Put the sealing panel (1) in its correct installation position.
(16) Install the sealing panel (1) on the access panel (3) with the screws (2).
(17) TORQUE the screws (2) to between 0.45 and 0.35 m.daN (39.82 and 30.97 lbf.in )

F. Installation of Access Panel 193BB(194BB) with the Slide Panel
(1) Make sure that the flaps are retracted (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-009).
(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Install the slide panel (10) on the access panel (3).
(5) Put the access panel (3) in its correct installation position.
(6) Attach the bracket assembly (9) to the slide panel (10) as follows:
(a) Align the anchor nuts of the bracket assembly (9) with the holes of the slide panel (10).
(b) Install the bushes (11) and the screws (12) on the slide panel (10).
(c) Tighten the screws (12).
(7) Install the screws (5) on the lower clip assembly (6).
(8) Install the screws (4) on the lower side of the access panel (3) that you can see.
(9) Extend the flaps sufficiently to attach the upper side of the access panel (3) to the sealing panel (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-008).
(10) Install the screws (5) on the upper clip assembly (7).
(11) Install the screws (4) on the upper side of the access panel (3).
(12) Make sure that all the screws of the access panel (3) are installed.
(13) TORQUE the screws (4) and (5) to between 5 and 4 m.N (44.25 and 35.40 lbf.in )

(14) Make sure that clearance J1 between the drive trunnion (8) and the slide panel (10) is between 4 mm (0.157 in.) and 8 mm (0.315 in.).
(15) Put the sealing panel (1) in its correct installation position.
(16) Install the sealing panel (1) on the access panel (3) with the screws (2).
(17) TORQUE the screws (2) to between 5 and 4 m.N (44.25 and 35.40 lbf.in )
