CAUTION: IMMEDIATELY AFTER YOU OPEN THE CARGO COMPARTMENT DOOR, RECORD ON THE WORK CARD ON THE DOOR, THE DATE AND TIME WHEN YOU OPENED IT. IF THE CARGO COMPARTMENT DOOR STAYS OPEN FOR 12 HOURS OR MORE, YOU MUST BLEED THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM RELATED TO IT. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THESE PRECAUTIONS, THE DOOR CAN CLOSE SUDDENLY WHEN YOU SET THE DOOR TO "CLOSE". THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE DOOR AND TO THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE.

A. Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).

B. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position.
   (2) Open the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
   (3) Install the 98D52307515000 SAFETY LOCK-ACTUATOR,CARGO DOORS on the door actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-480-001).
4. Procedure
Subtask 52-32-13-340-050-A
A. General Repair Procedure for the Cargo Door Linings
   (1) Find the damage type:
  • Cracks/holes in the cargo door lining (material broken or missing)
  • Damage on the edges of the cargo door lining.
   (2) Measure the damaged area:
     (a) For the cracks/holes in the cargo door lining:
  • L = the length of the damage
  • W = the width of the damage
  • DH = the distance between the new damage area and the existing repaired area or a different damage area.
NOTE: If the distance between two damaged areas is less than 100 mm (3.94 in.), the two damaged areas become one damaged area.
     (b) For damage on the edges of the cargo door lining:
  • L = the length of the damage along the edge
  • W = the width of the damage
  • DE = the distance between two new damaged areas or between the new damaged area and the existing repaired area
  • LE = the total length of the damage areas along the edge
  • DS = the distance between the new damaged area and the existing repaired area.
NOTE: If the distance between two damaged areas is less than 25 mm (0.98 in.), the two damaged areas become one damaged area.
   (3) Refer to the repair flow chart to find the applicable procedure to repair the cargo door linings.
   (4) If applicable:
     (a) Replace the cargo door linings (Ref. AMM TASK 52-32-13-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 52-32-13-400-001).
     (b) Use the wet lay-up repair with rivets from the rear side of the lining procedure to repair the damaged cargo door lining (Ref. AMM TASK 52-32-13-340-801).
     (c) Use the wet lay-up repair with rivets from the front side of the lining procedure to repair the damaged cargo door lining (Ref. AMM TASK 52-32-13-340-801).
     (d) Contact Airbus for the three-part cargo door linings.
     (e) Use the edge damage repair procedure to repair the damaged cargo door lining in less than 100 flight hours (Ref. AMM TASK 52-32-13-340-802).
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the 98D52307515000 SAFETY LOCK-ACTUATOR,CARGO DOORS from the door actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-080-001).
   (3) Close the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
   (4) Remove the access platform(s).

B. De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
