A. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position at the open forward or aft cargo door.
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position at the open forward or aft cargo door.

A. Removal of the Safety Support Equipment
(1) Remove the 98D52307515000 SAFETY LOCK-ACTUATOR,CARGO DOORS from the door actuator as follows:
Safety Lock on the Aft Cargo-Compartment Door ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
Safety Lock on the Aft Cargo-Compartment Door ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
(a) If necessary, fully open the applicable cargo door to make sure that the door actuator piston does not cause a blockage of the 98D52307515000 SAFETY LOCK-ACTUATOR,CARGO DOORS (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(b) Hold the safety lock and remove the knurled screws.
(c) Open the safety lock and remove it from the door actuator piston.
(d) Close the safety lock and install the knurled screws.
(2) If installed, remove the 98D52307524000 STRUT-SUPPORT,CARGO DOORS from the fuselage frame and the cargo door as follows:

Support Struts on the Aft Cargo-Compartment Door ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
(a) Make sure that there is no load on the support struts.
(b) If necessary, open the applicable cargo door to remove the load from the support struts (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(c) Pull the ring of the pip pin and remove the long support strut-end from the lateral edge members of the cargo door.
(d) Pull the ring of the pip pin and remove the short support strut-end from the fuselage frame.
5. Close-up(1) Remove the 98D52307515000 SAFETY LOCK-ACTUATOR,CARGO DOORS from the door actuator as follows:

(c) Open the safety lock and remove it from the door actuator piston.
(d) Close the safety lock and install the knurled screws.
(2) If installed, remove the 98D52307524000 STRUT-SUPPORT,CARGO DOORS from the fuselage frame and the cargo door as follows:
NOTE: The 98D52307524000 STRUT-SUPPORT,CARGO DOORS contains two support struts 98D52307524040.
Support Struts on the Aft Cargo-Compartment Door ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL Support Struts on the Aft Cargo-Compartment Door ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (b) If necessary, open the applicable cargo door to remove the load from the support struts (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(c) Pull the ring of the pip pin and remove the long support strut-end from the lateral edge members of the cargo door.
(d) Pull the ring of the pip pin and remove the short support strut-end from the fuselage frame.

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
