3. Job Set-up
Subtask 49-52-41-860-057-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
   (2) On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW p/bsw is OFF.
   (3) Make sure that there is a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
   (4) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
   (5) Make sure that the access platform is in position below the APU compartment.
   (6) Make sure that the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR are open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
   (7) Make sure that the LIGHT SW is set to the ON position.

4. Procedure
Subtask 49-52-41-210-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Make an inspection of the bellows (2), the pipe (4) and the support for damage, chafing marks, dents or cracks. Replace the damaged items.
   (1) Make an inspection of the duct seal on the outlet-duct (16) at the APU access door 315AL. Replace the seal, if necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-21-400-001).
   (2) Make an inspection of the stiffeners (10).
   (3) If the stiffeners are damaged, do a structural repair.

B. Installation of the Oil-Cooler Outlet-Duct
   (1) Remove the protective cover from the oil cooler outlet.
   (2) Put the pipe (4) on the support and close the clamps (5). Do not fully tighten the clamps (5) at this time.
   (3) Put the bellows (2) on to the pipe (4) and install the clamp (3). Do not fully tighten the clamp (3) at this time.
   (4) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) or Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Structure (Material No.06LDG2) to all mating surfaces and to the bolt (6), the washers (7) and (8), and the nut (9).
   (5) Put the oil-cooler outlet-duct in position and install the screws (6), the washers (7), (8) and the nuts (9). Do not fully tighten the nuts (5) at this time.
   (6) Connect the bellows (2) to the oil cooler outlet and install the clamp (1).
   (7) TORQUE the clamp (1) to between 0.5 and 0.4 m.daN (44.25 and 35.40 lbf.in ) T.
   (8) Close the APU access door 315AL.
   (9) TORQUE the nuts (9) to to between 0.495 and 0.405 m.daN (43.81 and 35.84 lbf.in )
T.
   (10) Adjust the pipe (4) to get a precompression of between 1.3 mm (0.0512 in.) and 1.7 mm (0.0669 in.) of the seal between the flanges of the pipe (4) and the outlet-duct (16) at the APU access door 315AL.
NOTE: The adjustment range C is 10 mm (0.3937 in.).
   (11) Tighten the clamps (5) and the clamp (3).
   (12) Open the APU access door 315AL.
   (13) Connect the bonding strap (15) to the structure with the bolt (13), the washers (11), (14) and the nut (12) (
Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
Subtask 49-52-41-420-054-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Installation of the Oil-Cooler Outlet-Duct
   (1) Remove the protective cover from the oil cooler outlet.
   (2) Put the pipe (4) on the support and close the clamps (5). Do not fully tighten the clamps (5) at this time.
   (3) Put the bellows (2) on to the pipe (4) and install the clamp (3). Do not fully tighten the clamp (3) at this time.
   (4) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Structure (Material No.06LDG2) to all mating surfaces and to the bolt (6), the washers (7) and (8), and the nut (9).
   (5) Put the oil-cooler outlet-duct in position and install the screws (6), the washers (7), (8) and the nuts (9). Do not fully tighten the nuts (5) at this time.
   (6) Connect the bellows (2) to the oil cooler outlet and install the clamp (1).
   (7) TORQUE the clamp (1) to between 0.5 and 0.4 m.daN (44.25 and 35.40 lbf.in ) T.
   (8) Close the APU access door 315AL.
   (9) TORQUE the nuts (9) to to between 0.495 and 0.405 m.daN (43.81 and 35.84 lbf.in )
T.

D. Test
   (1) Do the operational test of the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-710-010).
   (2) Operate the APU for min. five minutes and examine the joints of the duct for leaks.
NOTE: Leaks are not permitted.
5. Close-up
Subtask 49-52-41-410-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Set the LIGHT control SW to the OFF position.
   (3) Close the APU access door 315AL (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
   (4) Remove the access platform(s).

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Put the related hydraulic system in the pressurized configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
   (2) De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
