A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW p/bsw is OFF.
(3) Make sure that there is a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(5) Make sure that the access platform is in position below the APU compartment.
(6) Make sure that the APU access doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(7) Set the LIGHT SW 11LJ to the ON position.
Subtask 49-42-52-865-057-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).

A. Install the Starter Motor Clutch
(1) Remove the blanking plug from the gearbox housing.
(2) Apply a thin layer of Synthetic base Lubricating Oil-Turbine Engine - - (Material No.03ABA1) or Synthetic base Lubricating Oil-Turbine Engine Low Temp. - (Material No.03ABB1) to the new AIPC 49-42-09-01-070 PACKING (5) or AIPC 49-42-84-30-060 PACKING (5) and install it on the cover (4).
(3) Install the clutch (7) in the gearbox housing.
(4) Install the wave-spring washer (6).
(5) Position the cover (4).
(6) Install the bolts (1) and washers (2) to secure the cover.
(7) Install the V-clamp (3) with the bolt (1).
(8) TORQUE the bolts (1) to between 1.54 and 1.26 m.daN (136.28 and 111.50 lbf.in )

(3) Install the clutch (7) in the gearbox housing.
(4) Install the wave-spring washer (6).
(5) Position the cover (4).
(6) Install the bolts (1) and washers (2) to secure the cover.
(7) Install the V-clamp (3) with the bolt (1).
(8) TORQUE the bolts (1) to between 1.54 and 1.26 m.daN (136.28 and 111.50 lbf.in )

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Set the LIGHT switch 11LJ to the OFF position.
(3) Close the APU access doors 316AR 315AL (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
Subtask 49-42-52-865-058-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Set the LIGHT switch 11LJ to the OFF position.
(3) Close the APU access doors 316AR 315AL (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration.
(1) Put the related hydraulic system in the pressurized configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(2) De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
