DO NOT TOUCH THE APU UNTIL IT IS SUFFICIENTLY COOL TO PREVENT BURNS WHEN YOU DO THE MAINTENANCE TASK(S).

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE is in position below the APU compartment.
(3) Make sure that APU access doors 315AL and 316AR are open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(4) Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to set the APU MASTER SW pushbutton to the ON position.
(5) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).

(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).

A. Installation of the Ignition Unit
(1) Put the ignition unit (3) in position on the APU.
(2) Install the bonding strap (8) and the bolt (7) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(3) Install the bonding strap (9) and the bolt (6) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(4) Install the two washers (4) and the two bolts (5).
(5) TORQUE the bolts (5), (6) and (7) to between 0.627 and 0.513 m.daN (55.49 and 45.40 lbf.in )

(6) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
(7) Connect the ignition lead (2) and the low-tension electrical lead (1) to the ignition unit (3).
(8) TORQUE the ignition lead (2) to between 2.66 and 2.42 m.daN (19.62 and 17.85 lbf.ft )

Subtask 49-41-38-865-063-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put the ignition unit (3) in position on the APU.

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Set LIGHT switch control 11LJ to the OFF position.
(3) Close APU access doors 315AL 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).

(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).

(2) De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
