A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Put the warning notices on panel 25VU to tell persons not to start the APU.
(2) Energize the ground service network (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(3) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001), (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-003).

C. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) below the APU access doors.
(2) Open the APU access doors 315AL 316AR and safety them in the open position (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(3) Set the light switch 11LJ on.
4. Procedure(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) below the APU access doors.
(2) Open the APU access doors 315AL 316AR and safety them in the open position (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(3) Set the light switch 11LJ on.

A. Visual Check of the APU Fuel Distribution Sytem for Condition and Security
(1) APU Fuel Pipes.
(a) Examine the fuel pipe between the Fuel Control Unit (FCU) and the Flow Divider for damage and signs of leakage.
(b) Examine the supply and return lines from the pressure regulator of the FCU to the servo valves of the IGV and BCV for damage and signs of leakage.
(c) Examine the fuel pipes from the Flow Divider to the Pilot Fuel and Main Fuel Manifold for damage and signs of leakage.
(d) Examine the Fuel Drain Pipes from the:
(2) Fuel Control Unit.
(a) Examine all fuel line connections at the FCU for correct attachment and signs of leakage.
(b) Examine the filter housing for correct attachment, damage and signs of leakage.
(c) Examine the electrical connectors of the FCU for correct attachment and signs of damage.
(3) IGV and BCV Actuator Assembly.
(a) Examine the fuel line connections at the actuators for damage and signs of leakage.
(4) Fuel Flow Divider.
(a) Examine all fuel line connections for correct attachment and signs of leakage.
(5) Drain Valve Assembly.
(a) Examine all line connections for correct attachment and signs of leakage.
(6) Fuel Manifolds and Injectors.
(a) Examine the fuel Injectors for correct attachment and signs of leakage.
(b) Examine the fuel manifolds for correct attachment, damage and signs of leakage.
5. Close-up(1) APU Fuel Pipes.
(a) Examine the fuel pipe between the Fuel Control Unit (FCU) and the Flow Divider for damage and signs of leakage.
(b) Examine the supply and return lines from the pressure regulator of the FCU to the servo valves of the IGV and BCV for damage and signs of leakage.
(c) Examine the fuel pipes from the Flow Divider to the Pilot Fuel and Main Fuel Manifold for damage and signs of leakage.

- flow divider to the Exhaust System
- Combustion-Chamber Drain Valve to the APU Drain Collector
- FCU (pump shaft seal) to the APU Drain Collector
- BCV (actuator seal) to the APU Drain Collector
- IGV (actuator seal) to the APU Drain Collector
(2) Fuel Control Unit.
(a) Examine all fuel line connections at the FCU for correct attachment and signs of leakage.
(b) Examine the filter housing for correct attachment, damage and signs of leakage.
(c) Examine the electrical connectors of the FCU for correct attachment and signs of damage.
(3) IGV and BCV Actuator Assembly.
(a) Examine the fuel line connections at the actuators for damage and signs of leakage.

C. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) De-energize the ground service network (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002)
(2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(3) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
