WHILE THE APU OPERATES, DO NOT GO INTO THESE AREAS:
1. Reason for the Job- THE AREA BEHIND THE APU EXHAUST DUCT: 25m (82ft.) REARWARD OF THE DUCT, MORE THAN 3m (10ft.) ABOVE THE GROUND, AND THE WIDTH OF THE HORIZONTAL STABILIZER
- THE AREA AROUND THE APU AIR-INTAKE: 2m (7ft) AROUND THE INTAKE
- THE AREA OF THE OIL-COOLER OUTLET.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001)
(2) On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW p/bsw is OFF.
(3) Make sure that there is a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(5) Make sure that the access platform is in position below the APU compartment.
(6) Make sure that the APU access doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(7) Make sure that the LIGHT control SW 11LJ is set to the ON position.
Subtask 49-31-41-865-057-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001)
(2) On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW p/bsw is OFF.

Subtask 49-31-41-420-057-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Nozzles
(1) Apply Lubricant-Anti Seize High Temp. - (Material No.03PBB1) to the threads of the bolts (5).
(2) Position the new AIPC 49-31-09-01-070 PACKING (2) on the nozzle (3).
(3) Position the air shroud (1) in the combustor port.
(5) Install the bolts (5).
(6) TORQUE the bolts (5) to between 0.748 and 0.612 m.daN (66.19 and 54.16 lbf.in )

(7) Install the locking plate (6) and secure with safety pins (7).
(8) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(9) Install the manifold connectors (4) to the fuel nozzle (3).
(10) TORQUE the manifold connectors to between 111.1 and 90.9 lbf.in (1.26 and 1.03 m.daN )

(11) Install the fuel supply pipes for the primary manifold (10) and the secondary manifold (8) to the flow divider (9).
(12) TORQUE the fuel supply pipe connectors to between 111.1 and 90.9 lbf.in (1.26 and 1.03 m.daN )

Subtask 49-31-41-865-058-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Apply Lubricant-Anti Seize High Temp. - (Material No.03PBB1) to the threads of the bolts (5).
(2) Position the new AIPC 49-31-09-01-070 PACKING (2) on the nozzle (3).
(3) Position the air shroud (1) in the combustor port.
NOTE: Make sure that the alignment hole in the air shroud is correctly aligned over the alignment pin of the fuel nozzle.
(4) Position the nozzle (3) into the air shroud (1). (5) Install the bolts (5).
(6) TORQUE the bolts (5) to between 0.748 and 0.612 m.daN (66.19 and 54.16 lbf.in )
. (7) Install the locking plate (6) and secure with safety pins (7).
(8) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(9) Install the manifold connectors (4) to the fuel nozzle (3).
(10) TORQUE the manifold connectors to between 111.1 and 90.9 lbf.in (1.26 and 1.03 m.daN )
. (11) Install the fuel supply pipes for the primary manifold (10) and the secondary manifold (8) to the flow divider (9).
(12) TORQUE the fuel supply pipe connectors to between 111.1 and 90.9 lbf.in (1.26 and 1.03 m.daN )
. B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Leak Test
(1) Start and operate the APU for a minimum of five minutes (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-008).
(2) Stop the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-009).
(3) Open the APU access doors 315AL 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(4) Examine the fuel nozzles and manifolds for signs of fuel leakage.
5. Close-up(1) Start and operate the APU for a minimum of five minutes (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-008).
(2) Stop the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-009).
(3) Open the APU access doors 315AL 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(4) Examine the fuel nozzles and manifolds for signs of fuel leakage.
NOTE: No leaks are permitted.

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Set the LIGHT control SW 11LJ to the OFF position.
(3) Close the APU access doors 315AL 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
Subtask 49-31-41-860-058-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Set the LIGHT control SW 11LJ to the OFF position.
(3) Close the APU access doors 315AL 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Put the related hydraulic system in the pressurized configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(2) De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(1) Put the related hydraulic system in the pressurized configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(2) De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
