A. Removal of the HPV
(1) If you use the APU to energize the electrical circuits, stop the APU:
(a) Make sure that the pressure and the temperature of the bleed-air duct system are in ambient conditions.
(b) Remove the mid-Y duct and the intermediate pressure check-valve (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-41-000-802).
(c) Carefully disconnect and remove the HPV muscle sense-tube from the HPV (1).
1 Make sure that you do not cause damage to the fittings on the HPV muscle sense-tube or the HPV (1).
(d) Hold the HPV (1) and remove the V-band coupling (2) that attaches the HPV (1) to the HP duct.
(e) Remove the HPV (1).
(f) Remove and discard the seal (3) from the HPV (1).
(g) Install a COVER - PROTECTION on the HPV (1), harness assembly connector (4000HA-A), HPV muscle sense-tube and HP duct.
(4) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
Subtask 36-11-51-200-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) If you use the APU to energize the electrical circuits, stop the APU:
- For GTCP 36-300 APU (Ref. AMM D/O 49-00-00-86)
