B. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that the engine 1(2) is shutdown for at least 5 minutes.
(2) On the AIR COND panel 30VU:
Subtask 36-11-49-865-118-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the engine 1(2) is shutdown for at least 5 minutes.
(2) On the AIR COND panel 30VU:
- make sure that the ENG 1(2) BLEED pushbutton switch is released (the OFF legend is on),
- make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (the ON legend is off),
- put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to operate the pneumatic system.
- put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine 1(2).
- put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to pressurize the pneumatic system.
- make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR 1(2) pushbutton switch is off,
- put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).

(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040):

Subtask 36-11-49-020-082-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Regulator Valve to Interface Hose Assembly
(1) If you use the APU to energize the electrical circuits, stop the APU:
(a) Make sure that the pressure and the temperature of the bleed-air duct system are in ambient conditions.
(4) Disconnect the hose assembly (55) from the bleed Pressure Regulator Valve (PRV) (20).
(5) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the two ends of the hose assembly (55), the engine tube and the fitting on the PRV (20).
(6) Remove the hose assembly (55) from the engine.
Subtask 36-11-49-020-083-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) If you use the APU to energize the electrical circuits, stop the APU:
- For GTCP 36-300 APU (Ref. AMM D/O 49-00-00-86)
- For APS 3200 APU (Ref. AMM D/O 49-00-00-86)
- For 131-9(A) APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-009).
(a) Make sure that the pressure and the temperature of the bleed-air duct system are in ambient conditions.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED BEFORE YOU START WORK. PRESSURIZED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE UNIT UNTIL IT IS SUFFICIENTLY COOL TO PREVENT BURNS WHEN YOU DO THE MAINTENANCE TASK(S).
(3) Disconnect the hose assembly (55) from the engine tube. (4) Disconnect the hose assembly (55) from the bleed Pressure Regulator Valve (PRV) (20).
(5) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the two ends of the hose assembly (55), the engine tube and the fitting on the PRV (20).
(6) Remove the hose assembly (55) from the engine.
B. Removal of the Flexible Metal Pneumatic Hose Assembly
(1) Disconnect the hose assembly (65) from the engine tube.
(2) Disconnect the hose assembly (65) from the tube assembly (10).
(3) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the two ends of the hose assembly (65), the engine tube and the tube assembly (10).
(4) Remove the hose assembly (65) from the engine.
(5) Disconnect the hose assembly (50) from the engine tube.
(6) Disconnect the hose assembly (50) from the tube assembly (5).
(7) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the two ends of the hose assembly (50), the engine tube and the tube assembly (5).
(8) Remove the hose assembly (50) from the engine.
Subtask 36-11-49-020-085-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Disconnect the hose assembly (65) from the engine tube.
(2) Disconnect the hose assembly (65) from the tube assembly (10).
(3) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the two ends of the hose assembly (65), the engine tube and the tube assembly (10).
(4) Remove the hose assembly (65) from the engine.
(5) Disconnect the hose assembly (50) from the engine tube.
(6) Disconnect the hose assembly (50) from the tube assembly (5).
(7) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the two ends of the hose assembly (50), the engine tube and the tube assembly (5).
(8) Remove the hose assembly (50) from the engine.
C. Removal of the Tee Assembly to Hose Tube Assembly
(2) Disconnect the link (90) from the bracket on the engine flange STA215 (N).
(3) Disconnect the tube assembly (5) from the hose assembly (50).
(4) Remove the bolt (25), the washer (40) and the nut (35) that attach the clamps (30) to the bracket at flange STA221 (P).
(5) Remove the bolt (45), the washer (40) and the nut (35) that attach the clamps (30) to the bracket at flange STA221 (P).
(6) Remove the clamp (30) from the tube assembly (5). Leave the other clamp (30) on the tube (10).
(7) Remove the bolt (25), the washer (40) and the nut (35) that attach the clamp (30) to the bracket on the bleed air flange.
(8) Disconnect the tube assembly (5) from the union (60) on the mid stage tee duct.
(9) If necessary, remove the union (60) from the mid stage tee duct.
(10) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the two ends of the tube assembly (5), the hose assembly (50) and the union (60).
(11) Remove the tube assembly (5) from the engine.
Subtask 36-11-49-020-086-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL NOTE: It is easier to remove the tube if the upper link is disconnected from the bracket on the engine flange.
(1) Remove the bolt (70), the washer (75), the bushing (80) and the nut (85) that attach the link (90) to the bracket on the engine flange STA215 (N). (2) Disconnect the link (90) from the bracket on the engine flange STA215 (N).
(3) Disconnect the tube assembly (5) from the hose assembly (50).
(4) Remove the bolt (25), the washer (40) and the nut (35) that attach the clamps (30) to the bracket at flange STA221 (P).
(5) Remove the bolt (45), the washer (40) and the nut (35) that attach the clamps (30) to the bracket at flange STA221 (P).
(6) Remove the clamp (30) from the tube assembly (5). Leave the other clamp (30) on the tube (10).
(7) Remove the bolt (25), the washer (40) and the nut (35) that attach the clamp (30) to the bracket on the bleed air flange.
(8) Disconnect the tube assembly (5) from the union (60) on the mid stage tee duct.
(9) If necessary, remove the union (60) from the mid stage tee duct.
(10) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the two ends of the tube assembly (5), the hose assembly (50) and the union (60).
(11) Remove the tube assembly (5) from the engine.
D. Removal of the IP/HP Override Tube Assembly
(2) Disconnect the link (90) from the bracket on the engine flange STA215 (N).
(3) Disconnect the hose assembly (65) from the tube assembly (10).
(4) Disconnect the tube assembly (10) from the bleed pressure regulator valve (20).
(5) Remove the bolt (25) and the washer (40) that attach the clamp (30) to the bracket at flange STA221 (P).
(6) Remove the clamp (30) from the tube assembly (10).
(7) Remove the bolt (45), the washer (40) and the nut (35) that attach the clamps (30) to the bracket at flange STA221 (P).
(8) Remove the clamp (30) from the tube assembly (10). Leave the other clamp (30) on the tube (5).
(9) Remove the bolt (25) and the washer (40) that attach the clamp (30) to the bracket at flange STA216 (N).
(10) Remove the clamp (30) from the tube assembly (10).
(11) Disconnect the tube assembly (10) from the HP bleed valve (15).
(12) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the two ends of the tube assembly (10), the hose assembly (65) and the fittings on the valves (15) and (20).
(13) Remove the tube assembly (10) from the engine.
NOTE: To use the CFM56-5A engine on an A320 aircraft you must do Service Bulletin RA32036-4 which replaces this tube assembly with the HP bleed valve to pressure regulator valve tube assembly.
NOTE: It is easier to remove the tube if the upper link is disconnected from the bracket on the engine flange.
(1) Remove the bolt (70), the washer (75), the bushing (80) and the nut (85) that attach the link (90) to the bracket on the engine flange STA215 (N). (2) Disconnect the link (90) from the bracket on the engine flange STA215 (N).
(3) Disconnect the hose assembly (65) from the tube assembly (10).
(4) Disconnect the tube assembly (10) from the bleed pressure regulator valve (20).
(5) Remove the bolt (25) and the washer (40) that attach the clamp (30) to the bracket at flange STA221 (P).
(6) Remove the clamp (30) from the tube assembly (10).
(7) Remove the bolt (45), the washer (40) and the nut (35) that attach the clamps (30) to the bracket at flange STA221 (P).
(8) Remove the clamp (30) from the tube assembly (10). Leave the other clamp (30) on the tube (5).
(9) Remove the bolt (25) and the washer (40) that attach the clamp (30) to the bracket at flange STA216 (N).
(10) Remove the clamp (30) from the tube assembly (10).
(11) Disconnect the tube assembly (10) from the HP bleed valve (15).
(12) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the two ends of the tube assembly (10), the hose assembly (65) and the fittings on the valves (15) and (20).
(13) Remove the tube assembly (10) from the engine.
