BITE Test of the Air Traffic Control (ATC)

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Do the ADIRS start procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 34-10-00-860-002).
(3) On the center pedestal, on the ATC/TCAS control unit, set:

(2) Do the ADIRS start procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 34-10-00-860-002).
(3) On the center pedestal, on the ATC/TCAS control unit, set:
- the ATC system 1(2) on.
- the ALT RPT ON/OFF switch to OFF.
- the TRAFFIC AUTO/ON switch to AUTO.
- the SBY/ON/TA/RA-TA switch to ON.
NOTE: Use a company route stored in the NAV DATA BASE or enter the flight number "TEST" manually in the MCDU if it is not displayed.

(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Do the ADIRS start procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 34-10-00-860-002).
(3) On the center pedestal, on the ATC control unit, set:

(2) Do the ADIRS start procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 34-10-00-860-002).

- the ATC system 1(2) on.
- the ALT RPTG/OFF/ON switch to OFF.
- the STBY/AUTO/ON switch to AUTO.
NOTE: Use a company route stored in the NAV DATA BASE or enter the flight number "TEST" manually in the MCDU if it is not displayed.

(3) On the center pedestal, on the ATC/TCAS control unit, set:

- the SBY/ALT RPTG OFF/XPNDR/TA ONLY/TA-RA switch to XPNDR

B. On the center pedestal, on one MCDU, get the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST/NAV page then push the NEXT PAGE function key.

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) On the ATC/TCAS control unit, set the master switch to the standby position.
(2) Do the ADIRS stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 34-10-00-860-005).
(3) On the center pedestal, on the MCDU, push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication until the MCDU MENU page comes into view.
(4) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(5) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(1) On the ATC/TCAS control unit, set the master switch to the standby position.
(2) Do the ADIRS stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 34-10-00-860-005).
(3) On the center pedestal, on the MCDU, push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication until the MCDU MENU page comes into view.
(4) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits

(5) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
