A. Removal of the Lamp
CAUTION: DO NOT TOUCH THE LAMP GLASS WITH YOUR FINGERS. THE OILS FROM YOUR SKIN WILL QUICKLY CAUSE DETERIORATION OF THE LAMP. IF YOU ACCIDENTALLY TOUCH THE LAMP GLASS, CLEAN IT WITH A LINT-FREE CLOTH.
   (1) Remove the sealant around the frame assembly (2) and the spar box skin.
   (2) Remove the countersunk screws (1) around the frame assembly (2).
   (3) Remove the frame assembly (2) and the seal (3).
   (4) Release the quick-release fasteners (5) and remove the attach ring (4).
   (5) Remove the beam lamp (6) with the seal (8).
Subtask 33-47-11-020-053-A
B. Disconnection of the Electrical Connectors
   (1) Remove the screws (10) and disconnect the terminals of the electrical wires (11) from the electrical connector (7).
   (2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
Subtask 33-47-11-420-050-A
C. Replacement of the Lamp
   (1) Replace the AIPC 33-47-11-01-050 BEAM LAMP (6) if necessary.

D. Installation of the Lamp
   (1) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
   (2) Connect the terminals of the electrical wires (11) in the electrical connectors (7) of the beam lamp (6).
NOTE: Make sure that the terminals of the electrical wires (11) are correctly positioned in the electrical connectors (7).
   (3) Install the screws (10) in the electrical connectors (7).
   (4) Install the beam lamp (6) with the seal (8) and tighten it with the attach ring (4).
   (5) Tighten the quick-release fasteners (5).
   (6) Put the seal (3) in position on the logo light housing (9).
   (7) Put the frame assy (2) in position on the seal (3).
   (8) Install the screws (1) by wet sealant application of Polysulfide Sealant-Low Density Multi Purpose Fillet - (Material No.
06ACB1) or Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Brushable - (Material No.06ABA1) .
   (9) TORQUE the screws (1) to between 0.28 and 0.22 m.daN (24.78 and 19.47 lbf.in ) T.
   (10) Apply a fillet of Polysulfide Sealant-Low Density Multi Purpose Fillet - (Material No.
06ACB1) or Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Brushable - (Material No.06ABA1) between the frame assembly (2) contour and the spar box skin surface.
     (a) If the cure time of the sealant is not sufficient before the flight, do the procedure that follows:
1 When the sealant is no longer tacky, apply Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) between the edge of the logo light assembly and the spar-box skin surface, as follows:
CAUTION: BEFORE YOU APPLY THE TAPE, MAKE SURE THAT THE SEALANT IS NOT TACKY. IF IT IS TACKY, THE TAPE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SEALANT.
a Apply Release Agent-- Water Base - (Material No.14DAB1) on the sealant. This will help to remove the Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) after the sealant is cured.
b Put a strip of Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) , of the applicable length, on the frame assembly (2) along the edge of the logo light assembly and the spar-box skin surface.
c Make an overlap with strips of Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) around the frame assembly (2) to make sure that the surface is smooth. Make sure that the minimum overlap length of the applied Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) is 25 mm (1.0 in.).
d Make sure that the Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) :
  • Is not on the glazing section of the assembly
  • Has no effect on the logo light transmission.
e Do a visual check of the Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) before each flight.
f If the Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) is damaged, then:
g Remove the Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) in less than 50 flight cycles.
h Clean the area around the logo-light glazing area with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Methyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBE1) or Aqueous Cleaner-Aircraft Exterior Pressure Spraying - (Material No.08ABC1) .
i Make sure that the sealant is not damaged.
Subtask 33-47-11-370-050-A
E. Painting
   (1) Apply Top Coat Polyurethane-- Decorative External Structure (Material No.04JMD3) or Top Coat Polyurethane_- - External Structure (Material No.04JAA3) to the heads of the countersunk screws (1).
NOTE: It is recommended to do this step, but it is not necessary if there is no time for the paint to dry.
