WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

OPERATIONAL CHECK OF ANTISKID INHIBITION
To make sure that the anti-skid system is inhibited when the A/SKID & N/W STRG switch is set to OFF.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Make sure that the Green and Yellow hydraulic systems and the Yellow brake accumulator are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002).
   (3) On the panel 400VU:
  • Make sure that the landing-gear normal control-lever is set to DOWN.
   (4) Make sure that the free-fall control-handle is in the normal position.
   (5) Make sure that the wheel chocks are in position.
   (6) On the panel 110VU:
  • Make sure that the parking-brake control-switch is set to OFF.
   (7) On the panel 402VU:
  • Make sure that the A/SKID & N/W STRG switch is set to ON.
   (8) Do a reset (more than 1s) of each SDAC and FWC:
  • on the panel 49VU, open then close the SDAC 1 circuit breaker 3WV
  • on the panel 49VU, open then close the FWC 1 circuit breaker 3WW
  • on the panel 121VU, open then close the SDAC 2 circuit breaker 2WV
  • on the panel 121VU, open then close the FWC 2 circuit breaker 2WW
   (9) On the ECAM control panel:
  • Push the WHEEL pushbutton switch to get the WHEEL page on the lower ECAM display unit.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Make sure that the Green and Yellow hydraulic systems are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002).
   (3) Make sure that the brake Yellow accumulator is hydraulically pressurized.
   (4) On the panel 400VU:
  • Make sure that the landing-gear normal control-lever is set to DOWN.
   (5) Make sure that the free-fall control-handle is in the normal position.
   (6) On the panel 110VU:
  • Make sure that the parking-brake control-switch is set to OFF.
   (7) On the panel 402VU:
  • Make sure that the A/SKID & N/W STRG switch is set to ON.
   (8) Do a reset (more than 1s) of each SDAC and FWC:
  • on the panel 49VU, open then close the SDAC 1 circuit breaker 3WV
  • on the panel 49VU, open then close the FWC 1 circuit breaker 3WW
  • on the panel 121VU, open then close the SDAC 2 circuit breaker 2WV
  • on the panel 121VU, open then close the FWC 2 circuit breaker 2WW
   (9) On the ECAM control panel:
  • Push the WHEEL pushbutton switch to get the WHEEL page on the lower ECAM display unit.
   (10) Do the BITE test of the BSCU (GROUND SCANNING) (Ref. AMM TASK 32-46-00-740-002)
  • If the test gives a maintenance message, do the related trouble shooting procedure. Use the Fault Symptom(s) as entry into the TSM.

  • The amber AUTO BRK indication comes into view for one second, then goes out of view.

On the upper ECAM DU:
  • The amber BRAKES A/SKID N/WS OFF indication comes into view.
2.On panel 402VU:
  • Set the A/SKID & NOSE WHEEL switch to ON.
On the lower ECAM DU:
  • The amber STEERING or N/W STEERING indication goes out of view.
  • The amber ANTI SKID indication goes out of view.
  • The amber AUTO BRK indication is not shown.

On the upper ECAM DU:
  • The amber BRAKES A/SKID N/WS OFF indication goes out of view.
