Removal of the Mechanical Support Assy of the NLG Door Uplock
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE LANDING GEAR ARE CLEAR.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE SAFETY DEVICES AND THE WARNING NOTICES ARE IN POSITION BEFORE YOU START A TASK ON OR NEAR:

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(2) Depressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).

(2) Depressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
B. Get Access
(1) Open the doors of the Nose Landing Gear (NLG) (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-010-001).
(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below zone 123(124).

(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below zone 123(124).
C. Safety Precautions
(1) In the cockpit, on the right center instrument panel 400VU, put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing-gear control lever.
(2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:
(4) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) in position below the NLG door uplock-assembly (2534GM).
(5) Obey the applicable safety precautions before you open the Landing Gear Control and Interface Unit (LGCIU) circuit breakers (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-001).
Subtask 32-31-18-865-050-A (1) In the cockpit, on the right center instrument panel 400VU, put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing-gear control lever.
(2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:
- In the cockpit, on the hydraulic panel 40VU
- On the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic-system access-door (197CB).
(4) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) in position below the NLG door uplock-assembly (2534GM).
(5) Obey the applicable safety precautions before you open the Landing Gear Control and Interface Unit (LGCIU) circuit breakers (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-001).

A. Disconnection of the Hydraulic and Electrical Connectors
(2) Remove the hydraulic connectors (3) and (4) and put the PLUG - BLANKING in position.
Subtask 32-31-18-020-051-A WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE NLG DOWNLOCK SAFETY PIN AND THE TWO DOOR SAFETY PINS ARE INSTALLED.
(1) Remove the electrical connectors (1) and (2) and put the CAP - BLANKING in position. (2) Remove the hydraulic connectors (3) and (4) and put the PLUG - BLANKING in position.
B. Disconnection of the Control Rods
(1) Remove and discard the cotter pins (5).
(2) Remove the nuts (6) and washers (7).
(3) Remove the bolts (11) and disconnect the upper ends of the control rods (8).
(4) Temporarily attach the control rods (8) to the adjacent structure with a TIE WRAP.
Subtask 32-31-18-020-052-A (1) Remove and discard the cotter pins (5).
(2) Remove the nuts (6) and washers (7).
(3) Remove the bolts (11) and disconnect the upper ends of the control rods (8).
(4) Temporarily attach the control rods (8) to the adjacent structure with a TIE WRAP.
C. Disconnection of the NLG Door Actuating-Cylinder
(1) Release the tabs of the lockwasher (22) from the slotted nut (21).
(2) Remove the slotted nut (21) with the 98D32303000000 ADAPTER-WRENCH KIT.
(3) Remove and discard the lockwasher (22).
(4) Remove the bolt (25), bush (24) and washers (23) and (26).
(5) Disconnect the rod end (27) from the bellcrank (19).
Subtask 32-31-18-020-053-A (1) Release the tabs of the lockwasher (22) from the slotted nut (21).
(2) Remove the slotted nut (21) with the 98D32303000000 ADAPTER-WRENCH KIT.
(3) Remove and discard the lockwasher (22).
(4) Remove the bolt (25), bush (24) and washers (23) and (26).
(5) Disconnect the rod end (27) from the bellcrank (19).
D. Removal of the Latch Support Fitting
(1) Remove and discard the cotter pin (32).
(2) Remove the nut (33) and the washer (31).
(3) Remove the bolt (29) and disconnect the latch support fitting (30) from the clevis (28).
Subtask 32-31-18-020-054-A (1) Remove and discard the cotter pin (32).
(2) Remove the nut (33) and the washer (31).
(3) Remove the bolt (29) and disconnect the latch support fitting (30) from the clevis (28).
E. Removal of the Mechanical Support Assy of the NLG Door Uplock
(1) Remove the nuts (18), bolts (14), washers (15), clamps (16) and spacer (17).
(2) Hold the mechanical support assy of the NLG door uplock and remove the nuts (20) and bolts (13).
(3) Move down the mechanical support assy with the NLG door uplock from the support fitting (12) and put it on a bench.
Subtask 32-31-18-020-050-A (1) Remove the nuts (18), bolts (14), washers (15), clamps (16) and spacer (17).
(2) Hold the mechanical support assy of the NLG door uplock and remove the nuts (20) and bolts (13).
(3) Move down the mechanical support assy with the NLG door uplock from the support fitting (12) and put it on a bench.
