Inspection/Check of the Clearance of the Nose-Gear Hinge Bearings
WARNING:

MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) In the cockpit, on the right center instrument panel 400VU:
(4) Make sure that the D23080000 PIN-GROUND LOCK,NLG or MZ23080000 PIN-LOCKING as an alternative is in position.

- Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing-gear normal control-lever.
- Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate them.
(4) Make sure that the D23080000 PIN-GROUND LOCK,NLG or MZ23080000 PIN-LOCKING as an alternative is in position.
B. Get Access
(1) Open the doors of the nose gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-010-001).
(2) Lift the aircraft at the forward jacking point (Ref. AMM TASK 07-11-00-581-003).
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position.
4. Procedure(1) Open the doors of the nose gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-010-001).
(2) Lift the aircraft at the forward jacking point (Ref. AMM TASK 07-11-00-581-003).
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position.

A. Clearance Check
(1) Push the gear leg against one of the bearings.
(2) On the opposite side, measure clearance J between the adjusting washer and the bush on the main fitting.
(a) Make sure that clearance J is between 0.1 MM (0.0039 IN.) and 0.2 MM (0.0079 IN.).
5. Close-up(1) Push the gear leg against one of the bearings.
(2) On the opposite side, measure clearance J between the adjusting washer and the bush on the main fitting.
(a) Make sure that clearance J is between 0.1 MM (0.0039 IN.) and 0.2 MM (0.0079 IN.).
NOTE: Clearance J can be up to 1 MM (0.0394 IN.).
1 If clearance J is more than 0.2 MM (0.0079 IN.) but less than or equal to 1 MM (0.0394 IN.):- Correct clearance J at the next 6000 FH (flight hours) or 4500 FC (flight cycles) or 20 months interval check (Ref. AMM TASK 32-21-11-000-003) and (Ref. AMM TASK 32-21-11-400-003).
- Correct clearance J immediately (Ref. AMM TASK 32-21-11-000-003) and (Ref. AMM TASK 32-21-11-400-003).

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Lower the aircraft on its wheels (Ref. AMM TASK 07-11-00-586-001).
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
Subtask 32-21-00-410-054-A (1) Lower the aircraft on its wheels (Ref. AMM TASK 07-11-00-586-001).
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
