A. Safety Precautions
(1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the landing gear or the brakes.
(3) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position on the ground service connections to tell persons not to operate:

The Green hydraulic system
The Yellow hydraulic system.

(4) Make sure that the safety devices are installed on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the applicable hydraulic systems are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(2) Depressurize the applicable hydraulic reservoirs (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).

C. Get Access
(1) Remove the applicable MLG shock absorber (Ref. AMM TASK 32-11-13-000-001).
(2) Use 460006211 LIFTING-TACKLE to install the shock absorber in the 460006212 TROLLEY-BUILD.

Subtask 32-11-13-010-053-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

C. Get Access
(1) Remove the applicable MLG shock absorber (Ref. AMM TASK 32-11-13-000-001).
(2) Use 460006211 LIFTING-TACKLE to install the shock absorber in the 460007240 TROLLEY-BUILD.

4. Procedure
Subtask 32-11-13-020-059-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Removal of the Sliding Tube Sub-Assembly of the MLG Shock Absorber
(1) Remove the bearings (4) and (5).
(2) Release the tab washers (7).
(3) Remove and discard the screws (6) and the tab washers (7).
(4) Remove and discard the locking-plates (8) from the upper bearing housing (9).
(5) Use the 460007253 SPANNER-PIN to remove the upper bearing housing (9) from the sliding tube assembly (17).
(6) Remove the pins (15) from the two-part stop (10).
(7) Remove the two-part stop (10) from inside the upper bearing housing (9).
(8) Remove the upper diaphragm tube-assembly (3).
(9) Remove the lower bearing housing (16) with the attached parts.
(10) Remove the internal gland seals:
(a) Remove and discard the seals (18), (19) and (20) and the sealing ring (21).
(11) Remove the external gland seals:
(a) Remove and discard the packing retainers (26) and the O-rings (27).
(12) Remove and discard the wiper ring (25).
(13) Remove and discard the O-ring (1) and the seal (2).
(14) Release the lock washer (36).
(15) Remove the sliding tube sub-assembly (37) from the 460006212 TROLLEY-BUILD.
(16) Use the 460006404 ADAPTER, TORQUE to remove the jacking dome (35).
(17) Remove and discard the lock washer (36).

WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

(18) Remove and discard the lockwire from the bolts (43).
(19) Remove the bolts (43) and the washers (42).
(20) Remove the lower charging-valve housing (39) together with the charging valve (38) from the tube assembly (28). Do not remove the charging valve (38) from the lower charging-valve housing (39).
(21) Remove and discard the O-rings (41) and the retainers (40) from the lower charging-valve housing (39).
(22) Remove the tube assembly (28) from the sliding tube sub-assembly (37).
(23) Remove and discard the O-ring (29) and the retainer (30).

Subtask 32-11-13-020-059-G ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Removal of the Sliding Tube Sub-Assembly of the MLG Shock Absorber
(1) Lift and hold the upper diaphragm tube-assembly (3).
(2) Move the bearing (15) out of its groove to get access to the pins (14) and (17).
(3) Use the 460006409 ASSEMBLY AND EXTRACTION TOOL to remove the pins (14) 1 off and (17) 5 off.
(4) Remove the upper diaphragm tube-assembly (3) together with the travel stop (16). Remove the travel stop (16).
(5) Remove the bearing (15).
(6) Remove the upper bearing housing (18) with the attached parts.
(7) Remove the lower bearing housing (4) with the attached parts.
(8) Remove and discard the wiper ring (13).
(9) Remove the internal gland seals:
(a) Remove and discard the seals (8) and (9), the joint seal (11) and the sealing ring (10).
(10) Remove the external gland seals:
(a) Remove and discard the retainers (6) and the packings (7).
(11) Remove and discard the seals (1) and (2).
(12) Release the lock washer (23).
(13) Remove the sliding tube sub-assembly (24) from the 460006212 TROLLEY-BUILD.
(14) Use the 460006404 ADAPTER, TORQUE to remove the jacking dome (22).
(15) Remove and discard the lock washer (23).

(16) Remove and discard the lockwire from the screws (30).
(17) Remove the screws (30) and the washers (29).
(18) Remove the lower charging valve housing (26) together with the charging valve (25) from the tube assembly (19). Do not remove the charging valve (25) from the lower charging valve housing (26).
(19) Remove and discard the O-ring (28) and the backing ring (27) from the lower charging valve housing (26).
(20) Remove the tube assembly (19) from the sliding tube sub-assembly (24).
(21) Remove and discard the O-ring (20) and the backing ring (21).

A. Removal of the Sliding Tube Sub-Assembly of the MLG Shock Absorber
(1) Lift and hold the upper diaphragm tube-assembly (3).
(2) Remove the bearings (32) and (33).
(3) Release the tab washers (5).
(4) Remove and discard the screws (4) and the tab-washers (5).
(5) Remove and discard the locking-plate (6) from the upper bearing housing (7).
(6) Use the 460007279 SPANNER,PIN to remove the upper bearing housing (7) from the sliding tube assembly (11).
(7) Remove the pins (9) from the two-part stop (8).
(8) Remove the two-part stop (8) from inside the upper bearing housing (7).
(9) Remove the upper diaphragm tube-assembly (3) with the attached parts.
(10) Remove the lower bearing housing (10) with the attached parts.
(11) Remove and discard the wiper ring (17).
(12) Remove the internal gland seals:
(a) Remove and discard the seals (12) and (13), the joint seal (15) and the sealing ring (14).
(13) Remove the external gland seals:
(a) Remove and discard the retainers (18) and the packings (19).
(14) Remove and discard the seals (1) and (2).
(15) Release the lock washer (24).
(16) Remove the sliding tube sub-assembly (25) from the 460007240 TROLLEY-BUILD.
(17) Use the 460006404 ADAPTER, TORQUE to remove the jacking dome (23).
(18) Remove and discard the lock washer (24).

(19) Remove and discard the lockwire from the screws (31).
(20) Remove the screws (31) and the washers (30).
(21) Remove the lower charging valve housing (27) together with the charging valve (26) from the tube assembly (20). Do not remove the charging valve (26) from the lower charging valve housing (27).
(22) Remove and discard the O-ring (29) and the backing ring (28) from the lower charging valve housing (27).
(23) Remove the tube assembly (20) from the sliding tube sub-assembly (25).
(24) Remove and discard the O-ring (21) and the backing ring (22).

A. Removal of the Sliding Tube Sub-Assembly of the MLG Shock Absorber
(1) Remove the bearings (4) and (5).
(2) Release the tab washers (7).

(5) Use the 460007253 SPANNER-PIN to remove the upper bearing housing (9) from the sliding tube assembly (17).
(6) Remove the pins (15) from the two-part stop (10).
(7) Remove the two-part stop (10) from inside the upper bearing housing (9).
(8) Remove the upper diaphragm tube-assembly (3).
(9) Remove the lower bearing housing (16) with the attached parts.
(10) Remove the internal gland seals:
(a) Remove and discard the seals (18), (19) and (20) and the sealing ring (21).
(11) Remove the external gland seals:
(a) Remove and discard the packing retainers (26) and the O-rings (27).
(12) Remove and discard the wiper ring (25).
(13) Remove and discard the O-ring (1) and the seal (2).
(14) Release the lock washer (36).
(15) Remove the sliding tube sub-assembly (37) from the 460007240 TROLLEY-BUILD.
(16) Use the 460006404 ADAPTER, TORQUE to remove the jacking dome (35).
(17) Remove and discard the lock washer (36).
