WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT ALL THE CIRCUITS IN MAINTENANCE ARE ISOLATED BEFORE YOU SUPPLY ELECTRICAL POWER TO THE AIRCRAFT. UNWANTED ELECTRICAL POWER CAN BE DANGEROUS.

   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002)
   (2) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)

A. Test
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the overhead CTL & IND panel 20VU, on the ENG/APU FIRE panel 1WD:

  • Push the ENG 1 loop/squib TEST pushbutton switch.
On the ENG/APU FIRE panel 1WD:

  • On the ENG 1 FIRE pushbutton switch, the ENG 1 FIRE legend comes on.
  • On the applicable AGENT 1 and AGENT 2 pushbutton switches (related to the ENG 1 Fire pushbutton switch),the SQUIB and DISCH legends come on.

On the ENG panel 115VU:

  • The FIRE legend of the ENG 1 pushbutton switch comes on.

On the glareshield panels 130VU and 131VU:

  • The MASTER WARN lights flash on the Captain and First Officer sides.

On the upper ECAM display unit (center instrument panel 4VU):

  • The red ENG 1 FIRE indication comes into view.

On the lower ECAM display unit (center instrument panel 4VU):

  • The ENGINE page automatically comes into view.

  • The repetitive chime operates.
2.On the ECAM control panel:

  • Push then release the EMER CANC pushbutton switch.
  • The aural warning stops.
3.Release the ENG 1 loop/squib TEST pushbutton switch.
  • All the above warnings go off.
4.On the ECAM control panel:

  • Set a system page.
  • Make sure that the system page set comes into view on the lower ECAM display unit.
  • On the ECAM control panel:
    * make sure that the light that relates to the system page set comes on.
  • Set again the same system page.
  • On the ECAM control panel:
    * The light that relates to the system page goes off.
    * On the lower ECAM display unit, the DOOR page comes into view.
  • Push and hold the ALL pushbutton switch.
  • On the ECAM control panel:
    * The light that relates to the system page in view comes on.
  • On the lower ECAM display unit , these system pages come into view in order for a few seconds :
    * ENG - BLEED - PRESS - ELEC - HYD - FUEL - APU - COND - DOOR - WHEEL - F/CTL.
  • Push and hold the T.O CONFIG pushbutton switch.
  • On the glareshield panels 130VU and 131VU:
    * The MASTER WARN lights flash.
    * You can hear the continuous repetitive chime (CRC).
  • On the upper ECAM display unit:
    * The CONFIG FLAPS NOT IN T.O CONFIG warning message comes into view.
  • Release the T.O CONFIG pushbutton switch.
  • On the glareshield panels 130VU and 131VU:
    * The MASTER WARN lights go off.
    * The continuous repetitive chime (CRC) stops.
  • On the upper ECAM display unit:
    * The CONFIG FLAPS NOT IN T.O CONFIG warning message goes out of view.
  • Push then release the STS pushbutton switch.
  • On the ECAM control panel:
    * The STS light comes on.
  • On the lower ECAM display unit:
    * The STATUS page comes into view.
5.Push the STS pushbutton switch until the DOOR page comes into view on the lower ECAM display unit.

5. Close-up

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) On the ECAM control panel, set the UPPER DISPLAY and LOWER DISPLAY potentiometers to OFF.
   (2) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002)
   (3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
