A. Test
NOTE: Ignore all the indications that are not related to the ECAM system.
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the REAR C/B 121VU:

  • open the circuit breaker 2WW.
  • on the upper ECAM DU:
    FWS FWC 2 FAULT indication comes into view.
2.On the overhead panel 20VU, on the ENG/APU FIRE panel 1WD:

  • push the ENG1 loop/squib TEST pushbutton switch.
  • you hear the repetitive chime.
  • on the glareshield:
    *half the MASTER WARN lights flash; MASTER for CAPT side, WARN for F/O side.
  • on the upper ECAM DU:
    *the red ENG1 FIRE indication comes into view.
  • on the lower ECAM DU:
    *the ENGINE page comes into view.
3.Release the ENG1 loop/squib TEST pushbutton switch.
  • the warnings go out of view except FWS FWC2 FAULT.
  • on the lower ECAM DU:
    *the DOOR/OXY page comes into view.
4.Close the circuit breaker 2WW.
  • On the upper ECAM DU:
    *FWS FWC2 FAULT goes out of view.
  • after not many seconds, the MASTER lights can come on and some warnings can come into view.
    *if not, do not do the step 5.
5.On the ECAM control panel:

  • push the CLR key to reset all warnings.
  • on the upper ECAM DU:
    *the MEMO indication comes into view.
  • on the lower ECAM DU:
    *the DOOR page comes into view.
6.On the OVERHEAD C/B panel 49VU:

  • open the circuit breaker 3WW.
  • on the upper ECAM DU:
    FWS FWC 1 FAULT indication comes into view:
7.On the ENG/APU FIRE panel 1WD:

  • push the ENG1 loop/squib TEST pushbutton switch.
  • you hear the repetitive chime.
  • on the glareshield:
    *half the MASTER WARN lights flash; WARN for CAPT side, MASTER for F/O side.
  • on the upper ECAM DU:
    *the red ENG1 FIRE indication comes into view.
  • on the lower ECAM DU:
    *the ENGINE page comes into view.
8.Release the ENG1 loop/squib TEST pushbutton switch.
  • the warnings go out of view, except FWS FWC1 FAULT
  • on the lower ECAM DU:
    *the DOOR/OXY page comes into view.
9.Close the circuit breaker 3WW.
  • on the upper ECAM DU:
    FWS FWC1 FAULT goes out of view.
10.Push the MASTER light if it is on.

5. Close-up

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) On the ECAM control panel, set the UPPER DISPLAY and LOWER DISPLAY potentiometers to OFF.
   (2) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002)
   (3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
