Removal of the Reservoir Pressurization Hose

BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE AFTER SHUTDOWN. THE ENGINE CAN STAY HOT FOR A LONG TIME. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, INJURY CAN OCCUR.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Depressurize the aircraft hydraulic systems (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-864-001), (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-864-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-003).
(2) Depressurize the hydraulic reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the hydraulic system:
Subtask 29-14-49-941-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Depressurize the aircraft hydraulic systems (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-864-001), (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-864-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-003).
(2) Depressurize the hydraulic reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the hydraulic system:
- on the ground service panel 198CB.
B. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:

- put WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(3) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the hydraulic system:
- in the cockpit, on the HYD section of the overhead panel 40VU.
- make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
C. Get Access
(1) Open the left fan-cowl door (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040).

D. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser
Subtask 29-14-49-010-056-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (HCU) IS DEACTIVATED BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND THE THRUST REVERSER. IF THE HCU IS NOT DEACTIVATED, THERE IS A RISK OF UNWANTED THRUST REVERSER OPERATION WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Make the thrust reverser unserviceable for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-481-041). E. Get Access
(1) Open the thrust reverser door (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-040).

G. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser
Subtask 29-14-49-010-056-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (HCU) IS DEACTIVATED BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND THE THRUST REVERSER. IF THE HCU IS NOT DEACTIVATED, THERE IS A RISK OF UNWANTED THRUST REVERSER OPERATION WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Make the thrust reverser unserviceable for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-481-041). H. Get Access
(1) Open the thrust reverser door (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-040).

MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (HCU) IS DEACTIVATED BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND THE THRUST REVERSER. IF THE HCU IS NOT DEACTIVATED, THERE IS A RISK OF UNWANTED THRUST REVERSER OPERATION WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-013). K. Get Access
(1) Open the thrust reverser halve (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-00-010-010).

Subtask 29-14-49-020-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Reservoir Pressurization Hose
(2) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
Subtask 29-14-49-020-050-B CAUTION:
USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT HYDRAULIC LINES ON UNIONS. IF YOU DO NOT USE THE SECOND WRENCH, THERE IS A RISK THAT YOU WILL LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE UNION TOO MUCH.
(1) Loosen the nuts (2) and disconnect the reservoir pressurization hose (4). (2) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
A. Removal of the Reservoir Pressurization Hose
(2) Disconnect the restrictor elbow (5) from the junction plate (6).
(3) Hold the restrictor elbow (5) with the reservoir pressurization hose (3).
(4) Loosen the nut (2) that connects the reservoir pressurization hose (3) to the junction plate (1).
(5) Disconnect the reservoir pressurization hose (3) from the junction plate (1).
(6) Loosen the nut (4) that connects the reservoir pressurization hose (3) to the restrictor elbow (5).
(7) Disconnect the reservoir pressurization hose (3) from the restrictor elbow (5).
(8) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
CAUTION:
USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT HYDRAULIC LINES ON UNIONS. IF YOU DO NOT USE THE SECOND WRENCH, THERE IS A RISK THAT YOU WILL LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE UNION TOO MUCH.
(1) Loosen the nut of the restrictor elbow (5). (2) Disconnect the restrictor elbow (5) from the junction plate (6).
(3) Hold the restrictor elbow (5) with the reservoir pressurization hose (3).
(4) Loosen the nut (2) that connects the reservoir pressurization hose (3) to the junction plate (1).
(5) Disconnect the reservoir pressurization hose (3) from the junction plate (1).
(6) Loosen the nut (4) that connects the reservoir pressurization hose (3) to the restrictor elbow (5).
(7) Disconnect the reservoir pressurization hose (3) from the restrictor elbow (5).
(8) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
