Installation of the Pressure Relief Valve of the Yellow Hydraulic System
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(2) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(4) Make sure that the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(5) Make sure that the access panel 196BB and the access door 198CB are open.
(6) Make sure that the CONTAINER 2 L (0.53 USGAL) is in position below the HP manifold.
(7) Make sure that the isolation coupling of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) is disconnected (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
Subtask 29-13-32-865-051-A WARNING:
OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
(1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002). (2) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
- In the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel
- On the ground service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(4) Make sure that the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(5) Make sure that the access panel 196BB and the access door 198CB are open.
(6) Make sure that the CONTAINER 2 L (0.53 USGAL) is in position below the HP manifold.
(7) Make sure that the isolation coupling of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) is disconnected (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

A. Preparation of the Pressure Relief Valve before Installation
(1) Remove and discard:
(3) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the new O-rings (12), back-up rings (4) and (11) and the square-section seals (10).
(4) Put the new AIPC 29-13-14-02-160 BACK-UP RINGS (11) in position on the side of the bobbins (5) without the identification grooves (equipment side).
(5) Put the new AIPC 29-13-14-02-170 SQUARE-SECTION SEALS (10) in position on the side of the bobbins (5) without the identification grooves (equipment side).
(6) Put the new AIPC 29-13-14-02-150 BACK-UP RINGS (4) in position on the side of the bobbins (5) with the identification grooves (manifold side).
(7) Put the new AIPC 29-13-14-02-140 O-RINGS (12) in position on the side of the bobbins (5) with the identification grooves (manifold side).
(8) Install the two bobbins (5) with the identification grooves in the ports of the manifold (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-21-911-001).
Subtask 29-13-32-420-051-C (1) Remove and discard:
- The square-section seals (10)
- The O-rings (12)
- The back-up rings (4) and (11).
(3) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the new O-rings (12), back-up rings (4) and (11) and the square-section seals (10).
(4) Put the new AIPC 29-13-14-02-160 BACK-UP RINGS (11) in position on the side of the bobbins (5) without the identification grooves (equipment side).
(5) Put the new AIPC 29-13-14-02-170 SQUARE-SECTION SEALS (10) in position on the side of the bobbins (5) without the identification grooves (equipment side).
(6) Put the new AIPC 29-13-14-02-150 BACK-UP RINGS (4) in position on the side of the bobbins (5) with the identification grooves (manifold side).
(7) Put the new AIPC 29-13-14-02-140 O-RINGS (12) in position on the side of the bobbins (5) with the identification grooves (manifold side).
(8) Install the two bobbins (5) with the identification grooves in the ports of the manifold (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-21-911-001).
B. Installation of the Pressure Relief Valve
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Install the pressure relief valve (1) on the manifold.
(4) Install the bolts (2) and the washers (3).
(5) TORQUE the bolts (2) to between 1.8 and 1.6 m.daN (13.27 and 11.80 lbf.ft )

(6) Connect the bonding strap (7) to the pressure relief valve (1) and install the bolt (9), the washer (8) and the nut (6).
(7) Tighten the nut (6).
(8) Seal the connection of the bonding strap (7) with Polysulfide Sealant_General Purpose Brushable - (Material No.06AAA1) .
(9) Apply Coating_- Flexible Structure (Material No.04QAB2) (dyed blue) to the sealant.
Subtask 29-13-32-790-050-A (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.

C. Leak Test of the Hydraulic Connections
(1) Pressurize the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
(2) Make sure that the fluid level in the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system is correct. Add fluid as necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-002).
(3) Pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-002).
(4) Examine the connection of the pressure relief valve (1) and the manifold and make sure that there are no leaks.
(5) Depressurize the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002).
5. Close-up(1) Pressurize the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
(2) Make sure that the fluid level in the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system is correct. Add fluid as necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-002).
(3) Pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-002).
(4) Examine the connection of the pressure relief valve (1) and the manifold and make sure that there are no leaks.
(5) Depressurize the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002).
Subtask 29-13-32-860-052-A
A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
(1) Connect the isolation coupling of the power transfer unit (PTU) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-002).
(2) Remove the container.
(3) Remove the warning notices from the cockpit and the ground service panel.
Subtask 29-13-32-410-050-A (1) Connect the isolation coupling of the power transfer unit (PTU) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-002).
(2) Remove the container.
(3) Remove the warning notices from the cockpit and the ground service panel.
B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the access panel 196BB.
(3) Close the access door 198CB.
