A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
WARNING: OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
   (1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002).
   (2) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Blue hydraulic system:
  • in the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel,
  • on the ground service panel of the Blue hydraulic system.
   (3) Make sure that the Blue hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
   (4) Make sure that the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
   (5) Make sure that the access door 195BB is open .

4. Procedure
Subtask 29-12-21-420-050-A
A. Installation of the Pressure Gage
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Remove the blanking plugs from the pressure gage (1) and the adapter (3).
   (4) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the threads of the pressure gage connection.
   (5) Install the pressure gage (1) on the adapter (3).
NOTE: Make sure that you can clearly read the pressure gage when it is installed.
   (6) TORQUE the nut (2) to between 1.65 and 1.54 m.daN (12.17 and 11.36 lbf.ft ) T.
   (7) Safety the nut (2) with lockwire 0.8 mm (0.032 in.).

B. Preparation for Test
   (1) Fill the accumulator with nitrogen (
Ref. AMM TASK 12-14-29-614-001).
   (2) Remove the warning notices from the cockpit and the ground service panel.
   (3) Pressurize the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
   (4) Make sure that the fluid level in the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system is correct. Add fluid as necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001).
   (5) Pressurize the Blue hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-003).

C. Test
   (1) Apply Testing Medium-Leak Detection - Oxygen System (Material No.14CCB6) to the connection of the pressure gage (1) and the adapter (3) and make sure that there are no leaks.
   (2) Make sure that the pressure gage (1) shows 3000 +100 -100 psi.
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the access door 195BB.

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):
