Subtask 29-11-49-860-150-A
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
   (2) Depressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).

B. Safety Precautions
   (1) On AIR COND panel 30VU:
  • Make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (ON legend off).
  • Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate this pushbutton switch.
   (2) Open access door 197CB.
     (a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system.
   (3) On the HYD section of panel 40VU:
  • Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system.
   (4) Open access door 195BB:
     (a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system.
   (5) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
  • Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
  • Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
  • Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the ENG/MODE selector switch and the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch.
   (6) On the ENG section of maintenance panel 50VU:
  • Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
  • Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).

C. Get Access
   (1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 1)

   (2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at the engine.
4. Procedure
Subtask 29-11-49-210-056-A
A. General Visual Inspection of the Engine Hydraulic Tubes and Hoses
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do a visual inspection of the engine hydraulic tubes and hoses.
     (a) Examine the hydraulic suction line, pressure line and case drain line. Look for cracks, corrosion, nicks, scratches, chafing, dents and other damage.
     (b) Examine the hydraulic suction line, pressure line and case drain line. Look for loose connections and leaks.
     (c) Examine the hydraulic suction line, pressure line and case drain line and attaching hardware. Look for loose, worn, damaged or missing hardware.
   (3) If you find damage, make sure that it is in the permitted limits:

   (4) If you find damage that is not permitted or not included in step (3), replace the part:

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-803):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 1)

   (3) Close access doors 197CB and 195BB.
   (4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (5) Remove the access platform(s).
