3. Job Set-up
Subtask 25-23-47-860-079-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
   (2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position at the related emergency exit door.
   (3) Make sure that the related emergency exit door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-010-001).
   (4) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (5) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (6) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.

4. Procedure
Subtask 25-23-47-420-137-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Door Frame Lining
WARNING: BEFORE YOU START WORK ON THE DOOR, MAKE SURE THAT:
  • THE EMERGENCY CONTROL HANDLE IS IN THE DISARMED POSITION WITH THE SAFETY PIN INSTALLED.
  • THE PERCUSSION LEVER OF THE DOOR-DAMPER AND EMERGENCY-OPERATION CYLINDER IS IN THE DISARMED POSITION WITH THE SAFETY PIN INSTALLED.
IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THESE INSTRUCTIONS, THE DOOR CAN OPEN WITH FORCE OR THE ESCAPE SLIDE CAN DEPLOY SUDDENLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
   (1) When you connect/install the components, refer to the match marks made during the removal procedure.
   (2) Put the panel (4) in position on the yo-yo rollers and install the washers (7) and the screws (8).
   (3) Tighten the screws (8).
   (4) Put the panel (5) in position and install the brackets (11), the washers (10) and the screws (9).
   (5) Install the screw (23) and the nut (22).
   (6) Tighten the screws (9) and (23).
   (7) Put the panel (2) in position on the yo-yo rollers and install the handgrip (17) with the washers (19) and the screws (20).
   (8) Install the cover (3) and the screw (16).
   (9) Tighten the screws (16) and (20).
   (10) Install the cover (18).
   (11) Install the slide arm indicator-light (Ref. AMM TASK 52-73-21-400-003).
   (12) Install the cabin-pressure warning-light panel (Ref. AMM TASK 52-73-22-400-003).
   (13) Put the panel (6) in position and install the washers (15) and the screws (14).
   (14) Install the screws (24).
   (15) Tighten the screws (14) and (24).
   (16) Install the plugs (25).
   (17) Put the panel (1) in position and install the washers (13) and the screws (12).
   (18) Tighten the screws (12).

B. Visual Inspection
   (1) Make sure that all placards of the retained/new components are in the correct position and in good condition.
   (2) If necessary install the new placards, refer to (Ref. AMM TASK 11-00-00-400-002).

A. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

B. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the related emergency exit door. (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-410-001)
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
   (4) De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
