Subtask 23-73-38-560-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Preparation of the Replacement Component
   (1) If necessary, make the electrical cable (6) shorter and install the electrical AIPC 23-73-09-11-012 TERMINAL-CABLE (10) with the AMP169994-1 CRIMPING DEVICE.
   (2) Put the AIPC 23-73-09-11-013 HOUSING (11) over the cable terminal (10) and make sure that the housings engage correctly.

B. Installation of the Power Unit for the Passenger Reading Light
CAUTION: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL A PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD. DO NOT TOUCH IT DIRECTLY. IT IS EASY TO CAUSE DAMAGE TO THIS COMPONENT.
   (1) Install the power unit:
NOTE: Be careful when you work on the lowered PSIU. If you use too much force, it is easy to move the PSIU in the mounting rail too much. This can cause damage to the hinge in the mounting rail.
     (a) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
     (b) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
     (c) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
     (d) Carefully install the PCB (2) on the PSIU (1) with new plastic rivets (3).
   (2) Connect the electrical connectors:
CAUTION: REFER TO THE MATCH MARKS MADE DURING THE REMOVAL WHEN YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL WIRES. INCORRECT CONNECTION OF THE WIRES WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
     (a) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
     (b) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
     (c) Connect the electrical connector (5) to the reading light (7).
     (d) Connect the electrical connector (4) to the PCB (2).
   (3) Close the PSIU.
   (4) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (5) Lift the PSIU (1) and engage it in the mounting rail (8).
   (6) Install the section hose (9) with the
98A25208001000 PULLEY ASSY-SEALING to the mounting rail (8).
NOTE: Make sure that the section hose is not expanded. Move the pulley assemble forward and rearward to prevent this.
