   (2) Make sure that the Cabin Intercommunication Data System (CIDS) is energized

A. Operational test of the Passenger Reading Light-System
   (1) Do this test.
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the Flight Attendant Panel (FAP) 120RH:
On the FAP 120RH:
  • Push the LIGHTS MAIN ON/OFF membrane switch.
  • The LIGHTS MAIN ON/OFF indication on the membrane switch comes on.
  • Set the 'LIGHT' page.
  • All possible cabin lighting zones are shown.
In the cabin:
In the cabin:
  • Push all pushbuttons of the reading lights.
  • All the reading lights come on.
On the FAP 120RH:
On the FAP 120RH:
  • Push the R/L Reset pushbutton.
  • The R/L Reset indication shows as long as the pushbutton is pushed.
Or
  • Push the READ OFF pushbutton.
  • The READ OFF indication shows as long as the pushbutton is pushed.

In the cabin:
  • All reading lights go off.
2.On the FAP 120RH:
On the FAP 120RH:
  • Push the R/L Set pushbutton.
  • The R/L Set indication shows as long as the pushbutton is pushed.
Or
  • Push the READ ON pushbutton.
  • The READ ON indication shows as long as the pushbutton is pushed.

In the cabin:
  • All reading lights come on.

On the FAP 120RH:
  • Push the LIGHTS MAIN ON/OFF membrane switch.
  • The LIGHTS MAIN ON/OFF indication light goes off.

In the cabin:
  • All reading lights go off.
  • All cabin lighting go off.

A. Operational Test
   (1) Do the test of the passenger reading light system:
ACTION
RESULT
1.On forward Attendant Panel (FAP) 120RH:
  • push the POWER READ membrane switch.
On FAP 120RH:

  • The integral light of the POWER READ membrane switch comes on.
2.In the cabin:
  • Push all reading light pushbutton-switches.
In the cabin:
  • All the reading lights come on.
3.On FAP 120RH:
  • Push to reset the POWER READ membrane switch.
In the cabin:
  • All the reading lights go off.

    On FAP 120RH:
  • The integral light of the POWER READ membrane switch goes off.
  • In less than 2s push the POWER READ membrane switch again.
  • The integral light of the POWER READ membrane switch comes on.

    In the cabin:
  • All the reading lights come on.
  • Push to reset the POWER READ membrane switch.
  • All the reading lights go off.

    On FAP 120RH:
  • The integral light of the POWER READ membrane switch goes off.
  • After more than 2s push the POWER READ membrane switch again.
  • The integral light of the POWER READ membrane switch comes on.
4.In the cabin:
  • Push all the reading light pushbutton-switches.
In the cabin:
  • All the reading lights come on.
5.On FAP 120RH:
  • Push the MAIN OFF membrane switch.
In the cabin:
  • All the reading lights go off.
NOTE: The general illumination goes off if it is on.

On FAP 120RH:
  • The integral light of the POWER READ membrane switch goes off.

B. BITE TEST
   (1) Do the BITE test of the passenger reading lights and the cabin attendant work-lights on programming and test panel 110RH (Ref. AMM TASK 33-27-00-710-001).

B. BITE TEST
   (1) Do the BITE test of the passenger reading lights and the cabin attendant work-lights on Multipurpose Control and Display Unit (MCDU) 3CA (Ref. AMM TASK 33-27-00-740-001).
5. Close-up
Subtask 33-25-00-862-050-A
A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
   (1) De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
