A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Make sure that the Cabin Intercommunication Data System (CIDS) is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-00-861-001).
   (3) Energize the annunciator light test and dimming system.
(Ref. AMM TASK 33-14-00-710-001).
   (4) Make sure that at least one cabin door is open.

A. Do the operational test of the Cabin Incident Alert System
ACTION
RESULT
1.In the doorframe lining of door 1, on the switch panel 2080VU:
In the cockpit, on the pedestal panel 119VU:
  • push the ALERT pushbutton.
  • the indicator light of the CAB ALERT pushbutton comes on.

In the cockpit:

  • you hear a steady high tone.

On the forward left Attendant Indication Panel (AIP) 320RH:

  • the pink indicator light comes on and goes off after 1 sec.

  • the message CABIN ALERT shows and goes off after 1 sec.
2.In the cockpit, on the pedestal panel 119VU:
In the cockpit, on the pedestal panel 119VU:
  • push the CAB ALERT pushbutton.
  • the indicator light of the CAB ALERT pushbutton goes off.

In the cockpit:

  • the steady high tone stops.
3.In the doorframe lining of door x, on the switch panel 2080VU:
In the doorframe lining of door x, on the switch panel 2080VU:
  • repeat this test.
  • all visual and acoustic indications are the same as in the test for the Alert pushbutton in the doorframe lining of door 1.

B. Do the operational test of the Cockpit Incident Alert System
ACTION
RESULT
1.In the cockpit on the captain's side, on the panel 619VU:
On all Attendant Indication Panels (AIP) 320RH/322RH:
  • push the COCKPIT ALERT pushbutton.
  • the message COCKPIT ALERT shows and goes off after 30 sec.

  • the pink indicator light flashes and goes off after 30 sec.

On all Area Call Panels (ACP) 340RH:

  • the amber and pink indicator lights flash and go off after 30 sec.

In the cabin and at all attendant stations:

  • you hear a HI-chime four times.
2.In the cockpit on the first officer's side, on the panel 620VU:

  • repeat this test.
  • all visual and acoustic indications are the same as in the test for the COCKPIT ALERT pushbutton on the captain's side.
