OPERATIONAL CHECK OF LIGHTS TEST SYSTEM
Make sure that the annunciator lights operate correctly.
Make sure that the dimming circuit of the annunciator lights operates correctly

3. Job Set-up
Subtask 33-14-00-860-050-A
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits from the external power or from the APU:
   (2) On the Captain and F/O instrument panels, the overhead panel, the glareshield set some annunciator lights (warning or indicator lights) to the operative position.
   (3) On the center pedestal 11VU and overhead panel 20VU, on all the Radio Management Panels (RMPs), set the ON/OFF switch to the ON position.

A. Do the annunciator light test in the cockpit
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the panel 25VU:
  • put the ANN LT switch in the TEST position.
On the panels located in the cockpit:
  • All annunciator lights on the different panels come on fully bright.
  • The item lights of equipment come on fully bright.
  • put the ANN LT switch in the BRT position.
  • all the annunciator lights go off. This does not include the annunciator lights that come on during the job set-up.
  • put the ANN LT switch in the DIM position.
  • the annunciator lights that come on during the job set-up get dimmer.
  • put the ANN LT switch in the BRT position
  • the annunciator lights that come on during the job set-up get brighter.

B. Do the annunciator light test for the EXT PWR panel 108VU with the external power

RESULT
On the panel 108VU:
  • Push the LIGHT TEST pushbutton switch.
On the panel 108VU:
  • The EXT PWR/NOT IN USE indicator light comes on
  • The COCKPIT CALL indicator light comes on
  • The APU FIRE indicator light comes on
  • The ADIRU & AVNCS VENT caution light comes on.
  • The ELT indicator light comes on, if installed.
  • Release the LIGHT TEST pushbutton switch.
  • The EXT PWR/NOT IN USE indicator light goes off
  • The COCKPIT CALL indicator light goes off
  • The APU FIRE indicator light goes off
  • The ADIRU & AVNCS VENT caution light goes off.
  • The ELT indicator light goes off, if installed.

C. Do the annunciator light test for the EXT PWR panel 108VU with the APU
ACTION
RESULT
On the panel 108VU:
  • Push the LIGHT TEST pushbutton switch.
On the panel 108VU:
  • The EXT PWR/NOT IN USE indicator light stays off
  • The COCKPIT CALL indicator light stays off
  • The APU FIRE indicator light stays off
  • The ADIRU & AVNCS VENT caution light comes on.
  • The ELT indicator light comes on, if installed.
  • Release the LIGHT TEST pushbutton switch.
  • The EXT PWR/NOT IN USE indicator light stays off
  • The COCKPIT CALL indicator light stays off
  • The APU FIRE indicator light stays off
  • The ADIRU & AVNCS VENT caution light goes off
  • The ELT indicator light goes off, if installed.
5. Close-up
Subtask 33-14-00-860-051-A
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) On the center pedestal 11VU and overhead panel 20VU, on all the RMPs, set the ON/OFF switch to the OFF position.
   (2) On the Captain and F/O instrument panels, the overhead panel, the glareshield, make sure that the annunciator lights that came on during the job set-up go off.
   (3) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
