This procedure gives the instructions necessary to make sure that the EVAC signaling system operates correctly.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Make sure that the Cabin Intercommunication Data System (CIDS) is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-00-861-001).
   (3) Energize the annunciator light test and dimming system
(Ref. AMM TASK 33-14-00-710-001).
   (4) Make sure that at least one cabin door is open.

A. Test of the EVAC Signaling System

NOTE: The acoustic signals of the signal horn in the cockpit and of the attendant loudspeakers come on in intervals.

  • set the EVAC SIGNAL switch to the CAPT position.

From the cockpit horn and the attendant loudspeakers:

  • you hear the EVAC tone.



On the Forward Attendant Panel (FAP) 120RH, the Aft Attendant Panel (AAP) 126RH and at the MID and EXIT attendant stations on panel 2064VU:

  • the EVAC indicator light flashes.
  • push to reset the EVAC COMMAND pushbutton-switch.
All visual and acoustical signals go off.



On the overhead panel 21VU:
  • push the EVAC COMMAND pushbutton-switch.
  • the EVAC indicator light in the EVAC COMMAND pushbutton-switch flashes.

  • the ON indicator light in the EVAC COMMAND pushbutton-switch comes on.



From the cockpit horn and the attendant loudspeakers:

  • you hear the EVAC tone.



On the FAP 120RH, the AAP 126RH and at the MID and EXIT attendant stations on panel 2064VU:

  • the EVAC indicator light flashes.

In the cockpit:
  • push the HORN SHUT OFF pushbutton-switch.
  • the EVAC tone goes off.
  • push to reset the EVAC COMMAND pushbutton-switch.
All visual and acoustical signals go off.
2.On the FAP 120RH:
On the FAP 120RH:
  • push the EVAC CMD membrane switch.
  • the EVAC indicator light in the EVAC CMD membrane switch comes on.

On the overhead panel 21VU:

  • the EVAC indicator light in the EVAC COMMAND pushbutton-switch flashes.

In the cockpit:

  • you hear the EVAC tone for 3 sec..
  • push to reset the EVAC CMD membrane switch.
All visual and acoustical signals go off.
3.On the overhead panel 21VU:
On the overhead panel 21VU:
  • set the EVAC SIGNAL switch to the CAPT&PURS position.

  • push the EVAC COMMAND pushbutton-switch.
  • the EVAC indicator light in the EVAC COMMAND pushbutton-switch flashes.

  • the ON light in the EVAC COMMAND pushbutton-switch comes on.



From the cockpit horn and the attendant loudspeakers:

  • you hear the EVAC tone.

From the cockpit horn and the attendant loudspeakers:

  • you hear the EVAC tone.



On the FAP 120RH, the AAP 126RH and at the MID and EXIT attendant stations on panel 2064VU:

  • the EVAC indicator light flashes.

At the forward attendant station:
  • push the RESET membrane switch.
  • the acoustical signal goes off.
5.On the AAP 126RH:
At the EXIT and AFT attendant stations:
  • push the RESET membrane switch.
  • the acoustical signal goes off.
6.At the MID attendant station on panel 2064VU:
At the MID attendant station:
  • push the RESET membrane switch.
  • the acoustical signal goes off.
7.On the FAP 120RH:

  • push to reset the EVAC CMD membrane switch.
All visual and acoustical signals go off.

On the FAP 120RH:
  • push the EVAC CMD membrane switch.
  • the indicator light in the EVAC CMD membrane switch comes on.

  • the EVAC indicator light flashes.



On the overhead panel 21VU:

  • the EVAC indicator light in the EVAC COMMAND pushbutton-switch flashes.



From the cockpit horn and the attendant loudspeakers:

  • you hear the EVAC tone.



On the FAP 120RH, the AAP 126RH and at the MID and EXIT attendant stations on panel 2064VU:

At the mid and exit attendant stations:

  • the EVAC signal goes off.
5.On the AAP:
On the aft AIPs:
  • push the EVAC/RESET pushbutton.
  • 'EVACUATION ALERT' goes off.

  • the pink indicator light goes off.



At the aft attendant stations:

  • the EVAC signal goes off.
