3. Job Set-up
Subtask 23-73-00-860-115-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Make sure that the Cabin Intercommunication Data System (CIDS) is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-00-861-001).
   (3) Energize the annunciator light test and dimming system.
(Ref. AMM TASK 33-14-00-710-001).
   (4) Make sure that the INT/RAD switch on the Audio Control Panel (ACP) is in the center position.
   (5) Make sure that the INTEG LT/MAIN PNL&PED rotary knob on the pedestal panel 111VU is in the BRT position.
   (6) Connect a HEADSET 600 OHMS to the captain jack panel 61VU.

NOTE: The annunciation indication and the communication is cancelled, if there are more than 60 sec. between the test procedure steps.

A. Do the test of the EMERGENCY call from the cockpit

1.In the cockpit, on the overhead panel 21VU:

  • push the EMER pushbutton.
  • the indicator light of the EMER pushbutton comes on.

On the audio control panel 11VU:

  • the ATT light flashes.

In the cabin and at all attendant stations:

  • you hear a HI-LO chime three times.

On all Area Call Panels (ACP):

  • the pink lights flash.

On all Attendant Indication Panels (AIP):

  • the pink indicator light flashes.

  • the message EMERGENCY CALL flashes.
2.On the CAPT audio selector panel:

  • push the CAB pushbutton switch.
  • the integral light of the CAB pushbutton switch comes on.
  • push the CAB rotary knob.

  • push and hold the INT/RAD switch in the RAD position during the test-procedure.

3.In the cockpit and at all attendant stations:

  • lift the handset from the cradle.

1.At the forward attendant station:
On the forward Attendant Indication Panel (AIP):
  • Lift the handset from the cradle.
  • The number symbol flashes.
2.On the keyboard of the handset at the forward attendant station:
On the forward AIP:
  • Push the INTPH pushbutton.
  • Two number symbols flash.
  • Push the pushbutton for another attendant station.
  • Two number symbols go off.

  • The message "XYZ ATTND" comes on.

NOTE: The "XYZ" stands for the called attendant station.

On the respective AIP:

  • The message "CALL FWD L ATTND" comes on.

  • The green indicator light comes on.

At the XYZ attendant station:

  • Yyou hear a HI-LO chime.

On the respective Area Call Panels (ACPs):

  • The pink indicator lights come on.
3.On the XYZ attendant station:
On the forward AIP:
  • Lift the handset from the cradle.
  • The message "> XYZ ATTND" comes on.

On the XYZ AIP:

  • The message "> FWD L ATTND" comes on.

  • The green indicator light goes off.

On the XYZ ACPs:

  • The pink indicator lights go off.
4.Through the handsets at the forward and xyz attendant station:
Through the handsets at the forward and xyz attendant station:
  • Make an announcement.
  • You hear the announcement.
5.On the XYZ attendant station:
On the forward AIP:,
  • Put the handset back into its cradle.
  • The message "> XYZ ATTND" goes off.

  • The number symbol flashes.

On the XYZ AIP:

  • the message "> FWD L ATTND" goes off.
6.On the forward attendant station:
On the forward AIP:
  • Put the handset back into its cradle.
  • The number symbol goes off.


7.Repeat the steps 1 thru 6 for all other attendant stations:
  • The indications are the same as for the forward attendant station and the corresponding attendant station.
  • Use the INTPH and FWD pushbutton to call the forward attendant station from all other attendant stations.

  • Use the INTPH and MID pushbutton to call the mid attendant station(s) from all other attendant stations (if applicable).

  • Use the INTPH and EXIT pushbutton to call the exit attendant station(s) from all other attendant stations (if applicable).

NOTE: If more than one attendant station is installed in the mid and/or exit door area:

  • The left and right attendant stations cannot accept the same call.

  • You have to do the related call two times, one station after the other.

  • Use the INTPH and AFT pushbutton to call each aft attendant station one station after the other from all other attendant station(s).

  • Use the EXIT ATTND pushbutton to call the exit attendant station(s) from all other attendant stations (if applicable).

NOTE: If more than one attendant station is installed in the mid and/or exit door area:

  • Make an announcement.
