D. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
NOTE: The steps that follow are applicable for all Rave systems
   (1) Do a Start of Flight Test (Ref. AMM TASK 23-33-00-720-804).
   (2) In the cabin, on all emergency oxygen containers, do step (a) and/or step (b) as applicable:
     (a) Pull out the test button with your fingers. Then turn it 90 degrees to the TEST position.
     (b) Push the left side of the test button on the door assembly.
NOTE: The over-center spring keeps the lever of the test button at 90 degrees to the door surface. The lever of the test button must stay in this position until you set it to the initial position.

1.On removable DU 11MH, on the "Login/Welcome" page:

  • Touch the "Flight" icon.
  • The "Flight Mode login" page comes into view.
  • Enter the password.

  • Touch the "Enter" icon.
  • The "Flight Details" page comes into view.
  • Touch the "Entertainment" icon at the bottom of the "Flight Details" page.
  • The "Entertainment" page comes into view.
  • Touch the "Entertainment On" icon.
NOTE: Approximately two minutes are necessary to turn on the entertainment.
  • A confirmation pop-up comes into view to turn on the entertainment.
  • Touch the "Yes" icon.

2.On removable DU 11MH:
On removable DU 11MH:
  • Touch the hand icon in the bottom right corner of the page.
  • The application selection area comes into view.
3.On removable DU 11MH, on the application selection area:

  • Touch the "Boarding Music" icon.
  • The "Boarding Music" page comes into view.
4.On removable DU 11MH, on the "Boarding Music" page:
In the cabin:
  • Select a Boarding Music.
  • Touch the play icon.
  • Adjust the volume to hear correctly the BGM music.
  • You can hear the BGM music on all overhead speakers.
NOTE: The following step is applicable only for Rave Centric system and Rave mixed system.
  • There are no changes on all the seats and on the broadcast units.
NOTE: The following step is applicable only for Rave Wireless system and Rave mixed system.
  • If applicable, there are no changes on all personal electronic devices connected.
NOTE: The following steps are applicable for all Rave systems.
NOTE: The following steps are applicable for all Rave systems.
5.In the passenger compartment:

  • Make sure that the emergency oxygen container test buttons are set to the TEST position.

6.In the cockpit, on the OXYGEN section of overhead panel 21VU:
In the cockpit, on the OXYGEN section of overhead panel 21VU:
CAUTION: DO NOT PUSH IN THE "MASK MAN ON" PUSHBUTTON SWITCH 14WR FOR MORE THAN 5 SECONDS.
  • Lift the OXYGEN/MASK MAN ON 14WR switch guard and push the pushbutton switch.
  • The OXYGEN/PASSENGER/SYS ON indication light comes on.
  • Release the OXYGEN/MASK MAN on 14WR pushbutton switch.


On removable DU 11MH and in the cabin:
  • The message "Decompression in Progress" comes into view.
  • You can hear the decompression PRAM in all the overhead speakers.
NOTE: The following steps are applicable only for Rave Centric system and Rave mixed system.
  • The backlight goes off on all seats.
  • You cannot have access to the functions of the entertainment.
NOTE: The following steps are applicable only for Rave Wireless system and Rave mixed system.
  • The announcement pop-up "in progress" comes into view on all personal electronic devices connected.
  • The entertainment stops on all personal electronic devices connected.
NOTE: The following steps are applicable for all Rave systems.
NOTE: The following steps are applicable for all Rave systems.
7.In the cockpit, on the OXYGEN section of overhead panel 50VU:
In the cockpit, on the OXYGEN section of overhead panel 21VU:
  • Push OXYGEN/TMR RESET 13WR pushbutton switch.
  • The OXYGEN/PASSENGER/SYS ON light goes off.

On removable DU 11MH and in the cabin:
  • Stop the Decompression test.
  • The message "Decompression in Progress" goes out of view on removable DU 11MH.
  • You can hear the end of the decompression PRAM in all the overhead speakers.
  • You cannot hear the BGM music in all the overhead speakers.
NOTE: The following steps are applicable only for Rave Centric system and Rave mixed system.
  • The normal entertainment starts again on the seats.
  • You cannot see/hear the audio and/or video that played before the test.
NOTE: The following steps are applicable only for Rave Wireless system and Rave mixed system.
  • The announcement pop-up "in progress" goes out of view on all personal electronic devices connected.
  • The entertainment stops on all personal electronic devices connected.
5. Close-up

A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
NOTE: The steps that follow are applicable for all Rave systems.
   (1) Push the PAX SYS switch on VCC 10MH.
   (2) Make sure that the internal light of the PAX SYS switch goes off.

B. Close Access
   (1) On all emergency oxygen containers:
     (a) Close the doors of the emergency oxygen containers:
CAUTION: DO NOT USE TOO MUCH FORCE TO CLOSE THE EMERGENCY OXYGEN CONTAINER. IF YOU USE TOO MUCH FORCE, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE LATCH MECHANISM. IF THE LATCH MECHANISM DOES NOT ENGAGE EASILY, MAKE SURE THAT THE EQUIPMENT IN THE EMERGENCY OXYGEN CONTAINER IS CORRECTLY INSTALLED.
       1 Push the door of the emergency oxygen container to the closed position.
       2 Push the door of the emergency oxygen container, at both sides of the test button, to lock the latch mechanism.
       3 Make sure the door is flush with the adjacent panels.
       4 Do step (b) and/or step (c) as applicable.
     (b) Turn the test buttons 90 degrees to normal position.
NOTE: Spring tension will retract the test buttons automatically when they are in the normal position.
     (c) Push the test buttons back to normal position and let them retract into their containers.
NOTE: Spring tension will retract the test buttons automatically when they are in the normal position.
   (2) Make sure that the switch guard is in position on the MASK MAN ON pushbutton switch.
   (3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (4) Close the applicable access door(s) to VCC 10MH.
