D. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
NOTE: The steps that follow are applicable for all Rave systems.
   (1) Do a Start of Flight Test (Ref. AMM TASK 23-33-00-720-804).
NOTE: The steps that follow are applicable only for Rave Centric system and Rave mixed system.
   (2) Start a video sequence at minimum of one seat in each passenger class.
   (3) Start an audio sequence at minimum of one seat in each passenger class.
NOTE: The steps that follow are applicable only for Rave Wireless system and Rave mixed system.
   (4) Connect a personal electronic device to the wireless network at minimum one seat.
   (5) Start a video sequence on the personal electronic device(s) connected.

1.On removable DU 11MH, on the "Login/Welcome" page:
NOTE: The steps that follow are applicable for all Rave systems.
On removable DU 11MH:
  • Touch the "Flight" icon.
  • The "Flight Mode login" page comes into view.
  • Enter the password.

  • Touch the "Enter" icon.
  • The "Flight Details" page comes into view.
  • Touch the "Entertainment" icon at the bottom of the "Flight Details" page.
  • The "Entertainment" page comes into view.
  • Touch the "Entertainment On" icon.
NOTE: Approximately two minutes are necessary to turn on the entertainment.
  • A confirmation pop-up comes into view to turn on the entertainment.
  • Touch the "Yes" icon.

NOTE: The step that follows is applicable for all Rave systems.
2.In the cabin:
NOTE: The steps that follow are applicable only for all Rave Centric system and Rave mixed system.
In the cabin:
  • Start a PA Direct for all PA zones.
  • The PA pop-up "in progress" comes into view on the seat DUs that have the backlight available.
  • The entertainment stops on all seats.
  • The entertainment stops on all personal electronic devices connected.
NOTE: The steps that follow are applicable only for Rave Wireless system and Rave mixed system.
  • The PA pop-up "in progress" comes into view on all personal electronic devices connected.
  • The entertainment stops on all personal electronic devices connected.

3.In the seats, on the PCUs:
NOTE: The steps that follow are applicable only for Rave Centric system and Rave mixed system.
In the cabin, on the related seats:
  • Push the reading light pushbutton a small number of times.
  • The reading lights is on and off refer to the number of times you push the pushbutton.
4.In the seats, on the PCUs:
In the cabin, on the related seats:
  • Push the attendant call pushbutton.
  • The attendant call light comes on.
  • The indicator of the area call panel is on.
5.In the seats, on the PCUs:
In the cabin, on the related seats:
  • Push the attendant call cancel pushbutton.
  • The attendant call light goes off.
  • The indicator of the area call panel is off.
6.In the cabin, on the seats:
In the cabin, on the related seats:
  • Push the reading light pushbutton a small number of times on the passenger GUI menu bar.
  • The reading lights is on and off refer to the number of times you push the pushbutton.
7.On the seats:
On the related seats:
  • Push the attendant pushbutton on the passenger GUI menu bar.
  • Push the call crew pushbutton.
  • The attendant call light comes on.
  • The indicator of the area call panel is on.
8.On the seats:

  • Push the attendant pushbutton on the passenger GUI menu bar.
  • Push the cancel call pushbutton.
  • The attendant call light comes off.
  • The indicator of the area call panel is off.

In the cabin:
  • Stop the PA Direct for all PA zones.
  • The video continues to play on the seat DUs.
  • You can hear again the audio part of the video.
NOTE: The steps that follow are applicable only for Rave Wireless system and Rave mixed system.
  • The PA pop-up "in progress" goes out of view on all personal electronic devices connected.
  • The entertainment continues on all personal electronic devices connected.
NOTE: The steps that follow are applicable only for Rave Centric system and Rave mixed system.
10.On the Cabin Intercommunication Data System (CIDS) handset:
NOTE: The steps that follow are applicable only for Rave Centric system and Rave mixed system.
In the cabin:
  • Start a PA for Zone 1.
  • The PA pop-up "in progress" comes into view on the seats that have the backlight available in Zone 1.
  • The entertainment stops on all seats in Zone 1.
  • There are no changes in all other zones.
NOTE: The step that follows is applicable only for Rave Wireless system and Rave mixed system.
  • There are no changes on the entertainment on all personal electronic devices connected in Zone 1.
NOTE: The steps that follow are applicable only for Rave Centric system and Rave mixed system.
11.On the CIDS handset:
NOTE: The steps that follow are applicable only for Rave Centric system and Rave mixed system.
In the cabin:
  • Stop the PA for Zone 1.
  • The video continues to play on the seat DUs in Zone 1.
  • You can hear again the audio part of the video in Zone 1.
12.On the CIDS handset:
In the cabin:
  • If applicable, start a PA for Zone 2.
  • The PA pop-up "in progress" comes into view on the seats that have the backlight available in Zone 2.
  • The entertainment stops on all seats in Zone 2.
  • There are no changes in all other zones.
NOTE: The step that follows is applicable only for Rave Wireless system and Rave mixed system.
  • There are no changes on the entertainment on all personal electronic devices connected in Zone 2.
NOTE: The steps that follow are applicable only for Rave Centric system and Rave mixed system.
13.On the CIDS handset:

In the cabin:
  • If applicable, stop the PA for Zone 2.
  • The video continues to play on the seat DUs in Zone 2.
  • You can hear again the audio part of the video in Zone 2.
5. Close-up

A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
NOTE: The steps that follow are applicable for all Rave systems.
   (1) Push the PAX SYS switch on VCC 10MH.
   (2) Make sure that the internal light of the PAX SYS switch goes off.
NOTE: The step that follows is applicable only for Rave Centric system and Rave mixed system.
   (3) Stop the video and the audio sequence on the applicable passenger seats.
NOTE: The steps that follow are applicable only for Rave Wireless system and Rave mixed system.
   (4) Stop the video sequence on the applicable personal electronic devices.
   (5) Disconnect the applicable personal electronic devices from the wireless network.

B. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the applicable access door(s) to VCC 10MH.

C. De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
