   (1) On one Multipurpose Control & Display Unit (MCDU):
     (a) Get access to the "SYSTEM REPORT/TEST" page (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-001).
     (b) Push the line select key adjacent to the "AFS" indication.

A. Read the HPP of the FACs and the FMGCs.
NOTE: The "PIN PROGCONFIG" indication is the name of the HPP on the MCDU.
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the MCDU, on the "AFS MAIN MENU" page:
On the MCDU:
  • Push the line select key adjacent to the "LRU IDENT" indication.
  • The "AFS/LRU IDENT 1/9" page comes into view.
2.On the MCDU:

  • Push the next page function-key until you get access to the "AFS/LRU IDENT 8/9" page.
3.On the "AFS/LRU IDENT 8/9" page:

  • Push the line select key adjacent to the "PRINT" indication.
  • The printer prints the MCDU page.
  • Make sure that the indications on the printed page agree with the indications shown on the MCDU.

4.On the MCDU:

  • Push the next page function-key.
On the MCDU:
5.On the "AFS/LRU IDENT 9/9" page:

  • Push the line select key adjacent to the "PRINT" indication.
  • The printer prints the MCDU page.
  • Make sure that the indications on the printed page agree with the indications shown on the MCDU.

6.On the MCDU, push the line select key adjacent to the RETURN indication until the CFDS menu page comes into view.

B. Decode the HPP of the FACs and FMGCs.
  • The HPP is shown as a hexadecimal code in which each digit can have 16 values (0 thru F). The digit rank of the HPP code is readable from the left (first digit) to the right (last digit).
  • The converted code of the HPP code is a binary code.
  • In the HPP code, each digit has four bits which are readable from the right (right-most bit) to the left (left-most bit). Each bit can have two values: 0 or 1.
