Installation of the Recirculation Filter Housing
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT AIR IS NOT SUPPLIED TO THE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM FROM THE MAIN ENGINE, THE APU OR A GROUND SOURCE.

Recirculation Filter HousingSubtask 21-21-45-861-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) On the AIR COND panel 30VU, make sure that:
(a) The APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (the ON legend is off).
(b) The ENG 1 BLEED and the ENG 2 BLEED pushbutton switches are released (the OFF legends are on).
(c) The warning notice to tell persons not to operate these pushbutton switches is in position.
(3) On the HP and the LP ground connectors:
(a) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to supply air from a ground air source is in position.
(4) Make sure that the FWD cargo-compartment door 825 is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(5) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position at the FWD cargo-compartment door 825.
(6) FOR [4010HM] (RECIRC FILTER HOUSING 1)
Subtask 21-21-45-861-051-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) On the AIR COND panel 30VU, make sure that:

- Make sure that the left-forward cargo-compartment partition at FR34 is removed (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-53-00) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-001).
- Make sure that the right-forward cargo-compartment partition at FR34 is removed (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-53-00) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-001).

- Make sure that the left-forward cargo-compartment partition at FR35.7 is removed (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-53-00) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-001).
- Make sure that the right-forward cargo-compartment partition at FR35.7 is removed (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-53-00) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-001).
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

A. Installation of the Recirculation Filter Housing
(1) FOR [4010HM] (RECIRC FILTER HOUSING 1)
(a) Remove the PLUG - BLANKING from the disconnected line end(s).
(b) Put the recirculation filter housing (1) in the correct position between the supports (2), (3) and (14).
(c) Install the four washers (15) and the four bolts (16).
1 Tighten the four bolts (16).
(d) Install the two washers (4) and the two bolts (5).
1 Tighten the two bolts (5).
(e) Install the two washers (7) and the two bolts (6).
1 Tighten the two bolts (6).
(f) Install the two washers (9), the two bolts (8), the two washers (12) and the two nuts (13).
1 Tighten the two nuts (13).
(g) Install the tube (10) with the clamp (11) on the recirculation filter housing (1).
(h) Tighten the nut of the clamp (11).
(2) FOR [4011HM] (RECIRC FILTER HOUSING 2)
(a) Remove the PLUG - BLANKING from the disconnected line end(s).
(b) Put the recirculation filter housing (18) in the correct position between the supports (17), (21) and (26).
(c) Install the four washers (19) and the four bolts (20).
1 Tighten the four bolts (20).
(d) Install the four washers (36) and the four bolts (37).
1 Tighten the four bolts (37).
(e) Install the three washers (22) and the three bolts (23).
1 Tighten the three bolts (23).
(f) Install the three washers (25) and the three bolts (24).
1 Tighten the three bolts (24).
(g) Install the three washers (33), the three bolts (34), the three washers (30) and the three nuts (29).
1 Tighten the three nuts (29).
(h) Install the three washers (32), the three bolts (31), the three washers (28) and the three nuts (27).
1 Tighten the three nuts (27).
5. Close-up(1) FOR [4010HM] (RECIRC FILTER HOUSING 1)
(a) Remove the PLUG - BLANKING from the disconnected line end(s).
(b) Put the recirculation filter housing (1) in the correct position between the supports (2), (3) and (14).
(c) Install the four washers (15) and the four bolts (16).
1 Tighten the four bolts (16).
(d) Install the two washers (4) and the two bolts (5).
1 Tighten the two bolts (5).
(e) Install the two washers (7) and the two bolts (6).
1 Tighten the two bolts (6).
(f) Install the two washers (9), the two bolts (8), the two washers (12) and the two nuts (13).
1 Tighten the two nuts (13).
(g) Install the tube (10) with the clamp (11) on the recirculation filter housing (1).
(h) Tighten the nut of the clamp (11).
(2) FOR [4011HM] (RECIRC FILTER HOUSING 2)
(a) Remove the PLUG - BLANKING from the disconnected line end(s).
(b) Put the recirculation filter housing (18) in the correct position between the supports (17), (21) and (26).
(c) Install the four washers (19) and the four bolts (20).
1 Tighten the four bolts (20).
(d) Install the four washers (36) and the four bolts (37).
1 Tighten the four bolts (37).
(e) Install the three washers (22) and the three bolts (23).
1 Tighten the three bolts (23).
(f) Install the three washers (25) and the three bolts (24).
1 Tighten the three bolts (24).
(g) Install the three washers (33), the three bolts (34), the three washers (30) and the three nuts (29).
1 Tighten the three nuts (29).
(h) Install the three washers (32), the three bolts (31), the three washers (28) and the three nuts (27).
1 Tighten the three nuts (27).

B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) FOR [4010HM] (RECIRC FILTER HOUSING 1)
(5) Close the FWD cargo-compartment door 825.
(6) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
Subtask 21-21-45-410-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) FOR [4010HM] (RECIRC FILTER HOUSING 1)
- Install the left-forward cargo-compartment partition at FR34 (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-53-00) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-400-001).
- Install the right-forward cargo-compartment partition at FR34 (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-53-00) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-400-001).
(5) Close the FWD cargo-compartment door 825.
(6) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) FOR [4010HM] (RECIRC FILTER HOUSING 1)
(5) Close the FWD cargo-compartment door 825.
(6) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
Subtask 21-21-45-865-052-A (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) FOR [4010HM] (RECIRC FILTER HOUSING 1)
- Install the left-forward cargo-compartment partition at FR35.7 (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-53-00) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-400-001).
- Install the right-forward cargo-compartment partition at FR35.7 (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-53-00) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-400-001).
(5) Close the FWD cargo-compartment door 825.
(6) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):
