3. Job Set-up
Subtask 08-21-00-860-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Do an IR alignment procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 34-10-00-860-004).
   (2) Get access to the parameter call-up menus (Ref. AMM TASK 31-36-00-740-008).
   (3) On the MCDU keypad enter the alpha call-up code into the scratchpad:
  • PTCH for the pitch angle to do a check of the longitudinal alignment,
  • ROLL for the roll angle to do a check of the transverse alignment.
4. Procedure
Subtask 08-21-00-581-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Leveling of the Aircraft with Fuselage Jacks
CAUTION: YOU MUST NOT LIFT THE AIRCRAFT WITH THE SAFETY STAY.
   (1) Lift the aircraft (Ref. AMM TASK 07-11-00-581-001).
  • Do not put the safety stay in position before you make the aircraft level.
   (2) Read the pitch and roll angles at the bottom of the display (scratchpad).
NOTE: For the angle values:
  • A positive value of the roll angle shows that the right wing is down.
  • A negative value of the roll angle shows that the left wing is down.
  • A positive value of the pitch angle shows that the nose of the aircraft is up.
  • A negative value of the pitch angle shows that the nose of the aircraft is down.
   (3) Operate the hydraulic jack below the wing at rib 9 to get the transverse alignment.
   (4) Operate the hydraulic jack below the fuselage at FR8 to get the longitudinal alignment.
   (5) After you did the longitudinal alignment, do a check of the transverse alignment.
   (6) The pitch and roll angles must be 0 plus or minus 0.8 degrees.
   (7) Put the safety stay in position between FR73 and FR74.
Subtask 08-21-00-581-058-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Quick Leveling of the Aircraft with MLG and NLG Jacks before the Fuel Drain Procedure
CAUTION: USE THIS PROCEDURE IF YOU DO THE QUICK LEVELING OF THE AIRCRAFT BEFORE YOU DRAIN THE FUEL. THIS WILL LET YOU KEEP THE WINGS WITHOUT SUPPORT.
CAUTION: YOU MUST NOT LIFT THE AIRCRAFT WITH THE SAFETY STAY.
   (1) Lift the aircraft on landing gear jacks (Ref. AMM TASK 07-11-00-581-803).
   (3) Operate the hydraulic jack below the MLG to get the transverse alignment.
   (4) Operate the hydraulic jack below the NLG to get the longitudinal alignment.
   (5) After you did the longitudinal alignment, do a check of the transverse alignment.
   (6) The pitch and roll angles must be 0 plus or minus 0.16 degrees.
5. Close-up
Subtask 08-21-00-586-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Lowering of the Aircraft
   (1) From the nose and wing jacks (Ref. AMM TASK 07-11-00-586-002).
   (2) From the NLG and MLG jacks (Ref. AMM TASK 07-11-00-586-802).
Subtask 08-21-00-860-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) Do the ADIRS stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 34-10-00-860-005)
