Lifting of the Aircraft on Landing Gear Jacks


WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE AIRCRAFT IS STABLE:
  • BEFORE YOU PUT IT ON JACKS
  • DURING ALL THE TIME IT STAYS ON JACKS.
CAUTION: YOU MUST PUT THE HYDRAULIC JACK IN POSITION FROM BEHIND THE LANDING GEAR TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE SENSORS OF THE WEIGHT-AND-BALANCE SYSTEM.
CAUTION: BEFORE YOU LIFT OR YOU LOWER THE AIRCRAFT, MAKE SURE THAT: - THERE IS NO EQUIPMENT ADJACENT TO IT THAT CAN CAUSE DAMAGE - NO OTHER WORK IS IN PROGRESS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THESE INSTRUCTIONS, DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT CAN OCCUR.

A. Aircraft Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the aircraft is in the correct condition for lifting.
   (2) Make sure that the aircraft is stable (Ref. AMM TASK 05-57-00-200-001).
   (3) Obey the flight configuration precautions (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-001).
   (4) On the panel 110VU:
Set the PARKING BRK control switch to OFF.
4. Procedure
Subtask 07-11-00-582-063-A
A. Jacking
   (1) Put the applicable JACK - ADJUSTABLE in position at the landing-gear jacking points.
   (2) Make sure that the assemblies are stable and in the vertical position.
   (3) Slowly operate the three jacks at the same time until the tires are off the ground.
NOTE: It is important to operate all the jacks at the same time to keep the aircraft in the same attitude.
