WARNING:
DO NOT EXTEND THE SLATS AND FLAPS WHEN THE THRUST REVERSER COWLS ARE DEPLOYED IN THE 45 DEG. POSITION.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE SAFETY DEVICES AND THE WARNING NOTICES ARE IN POSITION BEFORE YOU START A TASK ON OR NEAR:

B. Safety Precautions
(1) Install the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION on the slat/flap control lever (Ref. AMM TASK 27-00-00-480-002).
(2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flight controls.
(3) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
Subtask 05-25-20-010-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Install the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION on the slat/flap control lever (Ref. AMM TASK 27-00-00-480-002).
(2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flight controls.

C. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) in position at zone 522 (622).
(3) Remove the access panels:

WARNING:
BEFORE YOU START WORK, YOU MUST PUT ON A SAFETY HARNESS AND ATTACH IT TO THE ACCESS PLATFORM. WITHOUT A SAFETY HARNESS, YOU CAN FALL. THIS CAN KILL YOU OR CAUSE YOU INJURY.
(2) Put on and attach the HARNESS, SAFETY before you start work in the work area.(3) Remove the access panels:
- 522AB ( 622AB) and 522CB ( 622CB) (Ref. AMM TASK 57-41-37-000-004)
- 522AT ( 622AT) (Ref. AMM TASK 57-41-37-000-003)
- 522BT ( 622BT) (Ref. AMM TASK 57-41-37-000-803)
- 522EB ( 622EB) (Ref. AMM TASK 57-41-37-000-012)
- 522FB ( 622FB), 522HB ( 622HB), 522JB ( 622JB), 522KB ( 622KB), 522LB ( 622LB), 522NB ( 622NB), 522QB ( 622QB), 522SB ( 622SB) and 522UB ( 622UB) (Ref. AMM TASK 57-41-37-000-006).
C. Get Access
(1) Put theACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) in position at zone 522 (622).

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Remove the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION from the flap/slat control lever (Ref. AMM TASK 27-00-00-080-002).
(2) Fully retract the slats (Ref. AMM TASK 27-80-00-866-005).
Subtask 05-25-20-942-050-A (1) Remove the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION from the flap/slat control lever (Ref. AMM TASK 27-00-00-080-002).
(2) Fully retract the slats (Ref. AMM TASK 27-80-00-866-005).
C. Removal of Equipment
(1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(2) Remove the SAFETY BARRIERS.
(3) Remove all the fixtures, tools, test and support equipment used during this procedure.
