A. Safety Precautions
   (1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
   (2) Fully extended the slats (Ref. AMM TASK 27-80-00-866-004) or (Ref. AMM TASK 27-80-00-866-007).
   (3) Make sure that the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION is installed on the flap/slat control lever.
   (4) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the slats.
   (5) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the applicable access panel.

A. Removal of the Access Panels 522FB( 622FB), 522HB( 622HB), 522JB( 622JB), 522KB( 622KB), 522LB( 622LB), 522NB( 622NB), 522QB( 622QB), 522SB( 622SB) and 522UB( 622UB)
NOTE: On many access panels, the screws that hold the panel have different lengths.
   (1) Record the position of each screw when you remove it.
   (2) For the access panel 522FB( 622FB):
     (a) Hold the access panel (1) and remove the screws (2) and (3).
     (b) Carefully remove the access panel (1).
   (3) For the access panel 522HB( 622HB):
     (a) Hold the access panel (25) and remove the screws (26).
     (b) Carefully remove the access panel (25).
   (4) For the access panel 522JB( 622JB):
     (a) Hold the access panel (4) and remove the screws (5).
     (b) Remove the bolt (6) from the lanyard and carefully remove the access panel (4).
   (5) For the access panel 522KB( 622KB):
     (a) Hold the access panel (7) and remove the screws (8) and (9).
     (b) Carefully remove the access panel (7).
   (6) For the access panel 522LB( 622LB):
     (a) Hold the access panel (10) and remove the screws (11) and (12).
     (b) Carefully remove the access panel (10).
   (7) For the access panel 522NB( 622NB):
     (a) Hold the access panel (13) and remove the screws (14) and (15).
     (b) Carefully remove the access panel (13).
   (8) For the access panel 522QB( 622QB):
     (a) Hold the access panel (16) and remove the screws (17) and (18).
     (b) Carefully remove the access panel (16).
   (9) For the access panel 522SB( 622SB):
     (a) Hold the access panel (19) and remove the screws (20) and (21).
     (b) Carefully remove the access panel (19).
   (10) For the access panel 522UB( 622UB):
     (a) Hold the access panel (22) and remove the screws (23) and (24).
     (b) Carefully remove the access panel (22).

     (b) Carefully remove the access panel (7).
   (5) For the access panel 522JB( 622JB):
     (a) Hold the access panel (4) and remove the screws (5).
     (b) Remove the bolt (6) from the lanyard and carefully remove the access panel (4).
   (6) For the access panel 622KB:
     (a) Remove the door (Ref. AMM TASK 57-41-37-000-001).
   (7) For the access panel 522LB( 622LB):
     (a) Hold the access panel (10) and remove the screws (11) and (12).
     (b) Carefully remove the access panel (10).
   (8) For the access panel 522NB( 622NB):
     (a) Hold the access panel (13) and remove the screws (14) and (15).
     (b) Carefully remove the access panel (13).
   (9) For the access panel 522QB( 622QB):
     (a) Hold the access panel (16) and remove the screws (17) and (18).
     (b) Carefully remove the access panel (16).
   (10) For the access panel 522SB( 622SB):
     (a) Hold the access panel (19) and remove the screws (20) and (21).
     (b) Carefully remove the access panel (19).
   (11) For the access panel 522UB( 622UB):
     (a) Hold the access panel (22) and remove the screws (23) and (24).
     (b) Carefully remove the access panel (22).
