B. Test
   (1) Read the Technical Follow-Up (TFU) (Ref. TFU 28.15.00.003).
NOTE: This fault can occur if the power-on BITE test of the Fuel Quantity Indicating Computer (FQIC) is stopped before the BITE test is completed.
     (a) Make sure that there is a minimum of 1500 kg fuel in the wing-tank inner-cell.
NOTE: This lets the FQIC do a power-on BITE test of the Intercell Transfer Valves (ICTV) and the related Level Sensors. It is recommended this test is done after a refuel of the aircraft.
   (2) If the Electronic Centralized Aircraft Monitoring (ECAM) display unit is not energized:
     (a) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits from the external power AMM 24-41-00-861-002.
     (b) Do the EIS start procedure (ECAM only) AMM 31-60-00-860-001.
     (c) On the ECAM control panel, push the FUEL P/BSW.
     (d) On the ECAM System Display (SD), make sure that the FUEL page shows.
     (e) Make sure that the Refuel/Defuel panel (800VU) is closed and the aircraft is not in the Refuel/Defuel mode.
   (3) Reset the FQIC as follows:
     (a) Open, safety and tag these circuit breakers:
  • 1QT
  • 2QT
  • 8QT.
     (b) Make sure that the Fuel Quantity Indicator (FQI) for the related cell shows the X's in amber color.
     (c) After 30 seconds close these C/Bs:
  • 1QT
  • 2QT
  • 8QT.
     (d) Examine the fuel SD page and make sure that:
  • the FQI indication shows the fuel quantity
  • the ICTV's show that the XFR valve has moved from the closed to open and then back to the closed position.
NOTE: There will be a small transfer of fuel (approximately 10-20 kg) from the outer cells to the inner cells when the transfer valves operate.
     (e) If there is no fuel transfer, do Para 4. step (3).
   (4) If there is fuel transfer:
     (a) Do the functional (BITE) test of the intercell XFR valves AMM 28-15-00-740-002.
     (b) Do the FLSCU status report (BITE) test AMM 28-42-00-740-001.
4. Fault Isolation

A. Procedure
   (1) Examine the Fuel Level Sensing System (FLSS) STATUS page. Look for one or more messages that follow:
  • XFR valve 27QM/70QM/9QP
  • XFR valve 28QM/71QM/11QP
  • XFR valve 29QM/72QM/10QP
  • XFR valve 30QM/73QM/12QP.
   (2) If no messages are shown in step (1), go to Para 5.
   (3) If one or more messages are shown, do the applicable procedure that follows:
   (4) If a transfer valve does not operate, do the applicable procedure that follows:
5. Close-up
Subtask 28-15-00-942-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Put the Aircraft Back to its Initial Configuration
   (1) Do the EIS stop procedure AMM 31-60-00-860-002.
   (2) On the ECAM control panel, set the UPPER DISPLAY and LOWER DISPLAY potentiometers to OFF.
   (3) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits AMM 24-41-00-862-002.
   (4) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
