B. Test
   (1) Do the Functional BITE Test (of the FLSS) AMM 28-46-00-740-001.
     (a) Examine the FLSS STATUS page.
Look for one (or more) of the messages that follow:
  • L LO LEVEL SENSOR 16QJ1
  • R LO LEVEL SENSOR 15QJ2
  • FLSCU1 7QJ
  • FLSCU2 9QJ.
     (b) If a message(s) listed (in the step before):

  • is not shown, do step (2)

  • is shown, trouble shoot the LRU(s) before you do step (2). Refer to the Fault Symptoms List/28-CFDS for the related Task number.
   (2) Do the Functional BITE Test of the Intercell Transfer Valves AMM 28-15-00-740-002.
NOTE: The COMMAND FLSS BITE option does not test the Intercell Transfer Valves (ICTVs).
NOTE: The ICTVs are motor driven and the electrical power for these circuits is supplied from 801PP, 28VDC, ESS BUS/SHEDDABLE ASM 281501. The ICTVs will not operate on battery power.
     (a) Examine the FLSS STATUS page.
Look for the (left wing rear ICTV) message XFR VALVE 28QM/71QM/11QP.
     (b) If the message:

  • is shown, do Para. 4.A.

  • is not shown, no work steps are necessary.
4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 28-15-00-810-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Procedure
   (1) Make sure that the C/B 1QP is closed.
   (2) Open the C/B 2QP.
   (3) Get access to the ACTUATOR-TRANSFER VALVE, L REAR SPAR (11QP) AMM 28-15-51-000-002.
   (4) Disconnect the electrical connector 11QP-A from the ACTUATOR-TRANSFER VALVE, L REAR SPAR (11QP).
   (5) Do a test, with a MULTIMETER - STANDARD, to see if 28VDC is available at pin A of the connector 11QP-A ASM 281501.
     (a) If the 28VDC:

  • is available, do step (6)

  • is not available, continue at step (7).
   (6) Do a check of and replace, if necessary, the ACTUATOR-TRANSFER VALVE, L REAR SPAR [11QP] AMM 28-15-51-000-002 and AMM 28-15-51-400-002.
     (a) When the actuator is removed from the aircraft make sure that the transfer valve drive shaft and valve are free to rotate.
     (b) Repair/replace all the unserviceable items found in (a).
     (c) Do the test given in Para. 3.B.(2).
   (7) Close the C/B 2QP.
   (8) Do a test, with a multimeter, to make sure that 28VDC is available at the RELAY-L WING TK LOW LEVEL CHANNEL A (5QP) terminals A2 and X1 ASM 281501.
     (a) If the 28VDC:

  • is not available, do step (9)

  • is available, continue at step (10).
   (9) Do a wiring check of the aircraft wiring ASM 281501 between the RELAY-L WING TK LOW LEVEL CHANNEL A (5QP) and the C/B-FUEL/XFR VALVE 1/WING/L (1QP).
     (a) Repair all the unserviceable wiring and connectors ESPM 2053210.
     (b) Do the test given in Para.3.B.(2).
   (10) Do a test, with a multimeter, to make sure that 28VDC is available at the RELAY-R WING TK LOW LEVEL CHANNEL B (6QP) terminals A2 and X1 ASM 281501.
     (a) If the 28VDC:

  • is not available, do step (11)

  • is available, continue at step (12).
   (11) Do a wiring check of the aircraft wiring ASM 281501 between the RELAY-R WING TK LOW LEVEL CHANNEL B (6QP) and the C/B-FUEL/XFR VALVE 1/WING/R (2QP).
     (a) Repair all the unserviceable wiring and connectors ESPM 2053210.
     (b) Do the test given in Para. 3.B.(2).
   (12) If the fault continues:
