Installation of the Eductor Air Valve
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 79-21-45-010-054-A (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:

C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser System for Maintenance
Subtask 79-21-45-010-055-A WARNING:
YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Make sure that you did the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for ground maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-809). D. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the left thrust-reverser cowl-door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-806):

4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the left thrust-reverser cowl-door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-806):

A. Installation of the Eductor Air Valve
(1) Remove all the COVER - PROTECTION and the CAP - PROTECTION from the openings, tubes, hoses and connectors.
(2) Install the bracket (6) between the support bracket (4) and the eductor air valve (1) with spacers inboard.
(3) Apply engine oil (Material No.CP2442) on the threads of the three bolts (5).
(4) Install the three bolts (5) that attach the eductor air valve (1) to the support bracket (4).
(5) TORQUE the three bolts (5) to between 121 and 109 lbf.in (1.37 and 1.23 m.daN )

(6) Connect the 7th stage air manifold (2) B-nut to the eductor air valve (1) fitting.
(7) Connect the tube (3) B-nut to the eductor air valve (1) fitting.
(8) TORQUE the 7th stage air manifold (2) B-nut to between 525 and 475 lbf.in (5.93 and 5.37 m.daN )

(9) TORQUE the tube (3) B-nut to between 525 and 475 lbf.in (5.93 and 5.37 m.daN )

5. Close-up(1) Remove all the COVER - PROTECTION and the CAP - PROTECTION from the openings, tubes, hoses and connectors.
