2 Lift and remove the oil tank cap. Use aP05-005 cloth, cotton, lint-free
to remove an unwanted oil.
(b) Put a CONTAINER 40 L (10 USGAL) under the end of the scupper drain line under the engine.
(c) Open the oil-tank flapper valve as follows:
(d) Add engine oil as follows:
P03-001 lubricant, aircraft turbine engine into the filter neck until no more oil can be added without overflow to the scupper drain.
2 Examine the oil cap EIPC 79-11-02-01- PACKING (1). Replace it if it is damaged.
3 Align the cap to the filler neck and push down into place.
4 Turn the lever clockwise and push down to lock it.
5 Make sure the lever is down against the cap.
(f) Fill the starter with oil (Ref. AMM TASK 80-11-00-600-801).
(g) Record the amount of oil you added.
(3) Dry-motor the engine as follows:
(4) Stop the engine dry-motoring.
(5) After the dry motoring, wait 15 minutes, then make a check of the oil level and service the oil if necessary. Fill the engine with oil, more than ten hours after engine shutdown (Ref. AMM TASK 79-00-00-610-801).
(6) Record the quantity of oil you added.
(7) Make sure that the oil tank cap is closed and the lever is in the down (locked) position.
(8) Examine the assembly for foreign objects, damage and correct assembly.
5. Close-up(1) Drain the oil from the engine (Ref. AMM TASK 79-00-00-680-801).

(c) Open the oil-tank flapper valve as follows:
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU OPEN THE FLAPPER VALVE. OIL CAN SPRAY OUT WHEN THE VALVE IS FIRST OPENED. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS WARNING, HOT OIL CAN BURN YOUR EYES AND SKIN.
CAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE A SCREWDRIVER TO OPEN THE FLAPPER VALVE. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS CAUTION, DAMAGE TO THE FLAPPER VALVE CAN OCCUR.
1 Insert a SCREWDRIVER - SMALL through one of the 0.25 in. (6.35 mm) holes in the oil-tank inlet screens and open the oil-tank flapper valve if necessary. (d) Add engine oil as follows:
CAUTION:
DO NOT LET ENGINE FUEL, OIL OR HYDRAULIC FLUID SPILL ON THE ENGINE. YOU MUST IMMEDIATELY REMOVE UNWANTED FUEL, OIL OR HYDRAULIC FLUID WITH A CLOTH. FUEL, OIL OR HYDRAULIC FLUID CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO SOME ENGINE PARTS.

1 Hold the flapper valve open and add NOTE: You will add approximately 10 USgal (37.85 l).
NOTE: The stable oil level in the sight glass will now be at the FULL mark range.
NOTE: If the aircraft is not parked level, the oil level indication in the sight glass can be above the full mark. This is permitted. The oil system is serviced correctly if you cannot add more oil without overflow into the scupper drain.
(e) Install the oil tank as follows: CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT YOU CLOSE THE OIL TANK CAP COMPLETELY. MAKE SURE THAT THE OIL TANK CAP LEVER IS DOWN AND LOCKED. IF YOU DO NOT, OIL CAN COME OUT OF THE TANK AND AN IN-FLIGHT SHUTDOWN CAN OCCUR.
