A. Installation of the Thrust Reverser Hydraulic Isolation Valve
(1) Put a CLOTH - PROTECTIVE in the location where you will install the thrust reverser isolation valve.
The hydraulic fluid will cause damage to the engine.
(2) Put the thermal isolation (30) between the spacers (35) and (40) in position on the support plate (15).
(4) Remove the blanking plugs from the ports of the isolation valve and filter.
(5) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(6) Install and connect the pressure supply tube (85) between the filter (25) and the isolation valve (50).
(7) TORQUE the four bolts (10) to between 0.79 and 0.56 m.daN (69.91 and 49.56 lbf.in )
.
(8) Safety the bolts (10):
(9) TORQUE the coupling nuts of the tube (85) to between 3.2 and 2.9 m.daN (23.60 and 21.39 lbf.ft )
.
(10) Install the assembly support plate (15) with the isolation valve (50) in position below the pylon with the bolts (90) and washers (95). Do not tighten the bolts.
(11) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(12) Connect the pressure supply tube (20), the control tube (60) and the return tube (55).
(13) TORQUE the coupling nuts of the pressure supply tube (20) and control tube (60) to between 3.2 and 2.9 m.daN (23.60 and 21.39 lbf.ft )
.
(14) TORQUE the coupling nut of the return tube (55) to between 1.7 and 1.5 m.daN (12.54 and 11.06 lbf.ft )
.
(15) TORQUE the bolts (90) to between 0.79 and 0.56 m.daN (69.91 and 49.56 lbf.in )
.
(16) Install the clamp (75) with the bolt (65), the washer (70) and nut (80) to attach the control tube (60) and the return tube (55).
(17) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(18) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(19) Connect the electrical connector (45) to the isolation valve (50).
(20) Remove the protective cloth from the engine.
5. Close-up(1) Put a CLOTH - PROTECTIVE in the location where you will install the thrust reverser isolation valve.
The hydraulic fluid will cause damage to the engine.
(2) Put the thermal isolation (30) between the spacers (35) and (40) in position on the support plate (15).
NOTE: You must install the shortest spacer (40) on isolation valve side.
(3) Put the isolation valve (50) in position on the support plate (15) with the four bolts (10), the washers (12) and the spacers (100). Do not tighten the bolts.
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
