NOTE: For left thrust reverser POST SB BD70CR78-009 and for right thrust reverser, do not use SLING 1000 KG (2205 LBS)/2.5 M (8.25 FT) LONG, SHACKLE WORK LOAD LIMIT 1000 KG (2204LB) and the HOIST 1000 KG (2200 LB).

PRE SB BD70CR78-009

CAUTION: DO NOT OPEN THE HALF THRUST REVERSER MORE THAN 10 DEGREES. IF YOU DO, THERE IS A RISK OF CLASH WITH THE PYLON.
   (1) Opening of the left thrust reverser cowl at about ten degrees open position:
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT:
  • THE THREADED LENGTH OF THE SHACKLE IS BETWEEN 19.05 MM (0.750 INCH) AND 24.10 MM (0.949 INCH)
  • THE MAXIMUM EXTERNAL DIAMETER OF THE SHACKLE IS 30.50 MM (1.201 INCH).
IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, FAILURE OF THE SHACKLE CAN OCCUR. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT YOU DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EXTERNAL SIDE OF THE THRUST REVERSER WITH THE SLING.
     (a)        1 Remove the filler plugs from the forward hoisting points (27) at 6 o'clock area.
2 Make sure that the hoisting points insert is clean and in good condition.
3 Apply CPNCL00667LUBRICATING COMPOUND (LIQUI-MOLY GRADE NV) on the threads of the SHACKLE WORK LOAD LIMIT 1000 KG (2204LB).
4 Install the SHACKLE WORK LOAD LIMIT 1000 KG (2204LB) into the hoisting points (27).
       5 TORQUE the SHACKLE WORK LOAD LIMIT 1000 KG (2204LB) to between 3 and 2 m.daN (22.12 and 14.75 lbf.ft ) T.
6 Attach the SLING 1000 KG (2205 LBS)/2.5 M (8.25 FT) LONG to the SHACKLE WORK LOAD LIMIT 1000 KG (2204LB) and to the HOIST 1000 KG (2200 LB).
7 Lift the HOIST 1000 KG (2200 LB) until the SLING 1000 KG (2205 LBS)/2.5 M (8.25 FT) LONG holds the weight of the cowl.
NOTE: The SLING 1000 KG (2205 LBS)/2.5 M (8.25 FT) LONG attached to the SHACKLE WORK LOAD LIMIT 1000 KG (2204LB) must be in a vertical plane.
8 Open the thrust reverser cowl at about ten degrees open position.
