Installation of the Latch Access Doors
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 78-36-46-010-052-A (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.

C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser System for Maintenance
Subtask 78-36-46-010-054-A WARNING:
YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Make sure that you did the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-807). D. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the left thrust reverser cowl-door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-806):

4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the left thrust reverser cowl-door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-806):

A. Installation of the Forward Latch Access Doors
(1) Put the forward latch access door (1) in position.
(2) Apply a thin layer of Dry lubricant-Anti Seizing PTFE Loaded - (Material No.03QDB1) on the pin (5).
(3) Install the front and rear AIPC 78-36-80-03-030 PIN (5) from the forward and rearward directions respectively.
(4) Install the washers (4).
(5) Installation of the pins (3):
(6) Close the forward latch access door (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-46-410-801).
Subtask 78-36-46-420-051-A (1) Put the forward latch access door (1) in position.
(2) Apply a thin layer of Dry lubricant-Anti Seizing PTFE Loaded - (Material No.03QDB1) on the pin (5).
(3) Install the front and rear AIPC 78-36-80-03-030 PIN (5) from the forward and rearward directions respectively.
(4) Install the washers (4).
(5) Installation of the pins (3):
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL A COTTER PIN. EACH TIME YOU REMOVE A COTTER PIN DURING THE TASK, DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. A LOOSE COTTER PIN CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND.
(a) Install the new AIPC 78-36-80-03-010 PIN (3). (6) Close the forward latch access door (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-46-410-801).
B. Installation of the Aft Latch Access Doors
(1) Put the aft latch access door (6) in position.
(2) Apply a thin layer of Dry lubricant-Anti Seizing PTFE Loaded - (Material No.03QDB1) on the pin (10).
(3) Install the front and rear AIPC 78-36-80-03-070 PIN (10) from the forward direction.
(4) Install the washers (9).
(5) Installation of the pins (8):
(6) Close the aft latch access door (6) (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-46-410-801).
5. Close-up(1) Put the aft latch access door (6) in position.
(2) Apply a thin layer of Dry lubricant-Anti Seizing PTFE Loaded - (Material No.03QDB1) on the pin (10).
(3) Install the front and rear AIPC 78-36-80-03-070 PIN (10) from the forward direction.
(4) Install the washers (9).
(5) Installation of the pins (8):
WARNING:
