Subtask 78-32-70-860-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 78-32-70-010-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.

B. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open: (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-010)

C. Make sure that the thrust reverser Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) is deactivated: (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-012)
4. ProcedureSubtask 78-32-70-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Install the thrust recovery nozzle.
(1) Put the thrust recovery nozzle (1) into position on the thrust reverser half.
(2) Install the three hinge pins (2).
(3) Install two cotter pins (3) in each hinge pin (2) (Ref. AMM TASK 70-40-11-911-014).
(4) ATTACH THE LANYARD ASSEMBLY
(5) Attach the cable assembly (4) with the eyebolts (8), to the the thrust recovery nozzle (1) and the right thrust reverser half.
(6) Install the washer (7) and the nuts (6).
(7) TORQUE the nuts (6) to between 25 and 20 lbf.in (0.28 and 0.23 m.daN )

5. Close-up(1) Put the thrust recovery nozzle (1) into position on the thrust reverser half.
(2) Install the three hinge pins (2).
(3) Install two cotter pins (3) in each hinge pin (2) (Ref. AMM TASK 70-40-11-911-014).
(4) ATTACH THE LANYARD ASSEMBLY
CAUTION:
BEFORE YOU ATTACH THE LANYARD ASSEMBLY TO THE RIGHT THRUST-REVERSER HALF, MAKE SURE THAT THE LENGTH OF THE CABLE ASSEMBLY IS NOT MORE THAN 6.8-7.0 in.(172-177.8 mm) EYE TO EYE. THIS WILL HELP TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE THRUST REVERSER.
(a) If the cable assembly (4) is damaged, or is more than between 6.8 in. (172.72 mm) and 7 in. (177.80 mm) in length eye to eye, cut the cable at both ends from the eyebolts (8), and replace it with a new cable assembly (4). (5) Attach the cable assembly (4) with the eyebolts (8), to the the thrust recovery nozzle (1) and the right thrust reverser half.
(6) Install the washer (7) and the nuts (6).
(7) TORQUE the nuts (6) to between 25 and 20 lbf.in (0.28 and 0.23 m.daN )
. Subtask 78-32-70-410-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close the thrust recovery nozzle.
(1) Install the IAE1N20023 ADAPTER-TORQUE TOOL on a BAR LENGTH 60 CM (2 FT) BREAKER.
(2) Put the IAE1N20023 ADAPTER-TORQUE TOOL into the latch bolt slot (5) of the thrust recovery nozzle (1).
Subtask 78-32-70-440-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL Subtask 78-32-70-410-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Install the IAE1N20023 ADAPTER-TORQUE TOOL on a BAR LENGTH 60 CM (2 FT) BREAKER.
(2) Put the IAE1N20023 ADAPTER-TORQUE TOOL into the latch bolt slot (5) of the thrust recovery nozzle (1).
NOTE: The IAE1N20023 ADAPTER-TORQUE TOOL must rest evenly in the latch bolt slot (5).
(3) Apply force to the wrench until the latch is fully engaged. C. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowls (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-010):
(a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

(b) FOR [1000EM2] (ENGINE-2)

(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
Subtask 78-32-70-710-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowls (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-010):

(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
D. Operational Test
(1) Do an operational test of the thrust reverser system (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-00-710-041).

NOTE: As an alternative procedure, you can do the operational test without the CFDS (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-00-710-041).
