C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser System for Ground Maintenance
Subtask 78-32-46-010-077-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Make sure that you did the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for ground maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805). D. Get Access

A. Installation of the Pressure Relief Door Latch
(a) Attach the pressure relief door latch (4) and forward latch heat-shield (5) to the pressure relief door. Use the five pins (3), one washer (2) and five nuts (1).
(b) TORQUE the five nuts (1) to between 35 and 30 lbf.in (0.40 and 0.34 m.daN )

(c) Make sure that the thickness of the striker plate (9) and striker pad (10) is between 0.006 in. (0.152 mm) and 0.010 in. (0.254 mm) thicker than the distance between the pressure relief door latch (4) and the pressure relief door frame. If necessary, adjust the thickness of the striker plate (9) and striker pad (10) as follows:
1 Remove the two nuts (6), two washers (7) and two pins (11) that attach the aft latch heat-shield (8), striker plate (9) and striker pad (10) to the pressure relief door frame.
2 Adjust the thickness of the striker pad (10).
4 TORQUE the two nuts (6) to between 35 and 30 lbf.in (0.40 and 0.34 m.daN )

(d) Push the pressure relief door retention spring down and close the pressure relief door.
5. Close-upCAUTION:
DO NOT OPEN THE PRESSURE RELIEF DOOR MORE THAN 23 DEGREES. IF YOU OPEN THE PRESSURE RELIEF DOOR MORE THAN 23 DEGREES, THE SHOCK BUSHINGS CAN HIT THE PRESSURE-RELIEF DOOR CLEVIS AND BECOME DAMAGED.
(1) Install the pressure relief door latch (4). (a) Attach the pressure relief door latch (4) and forward latch heat-shield (5) to the pressure relief door. Use the five pins (3), one washer (2) and five nuts (1).
(b) TORQUE the five nuts (1) to between 35 and 30 lbf.in (0.40 and 0.34 m.daN )
. (c) Make sure that the thickness of the striker plate (9) and striker pad (10) is between 0.006 in. (0.152 mm) and 0.010 in. (0.254 mm) thicker than the distance between the pressure relief door latch (4) and the pressure relief door frame. If necessary, adjust the thickness of the striker plate (9) and striker pad (10) as follows:
1 Remove the two nuts (6), two washers (7) and two pins (11) that attach the aft latch heat-shield (8), striker plate (9) and striker pad (10) to the pressure relief door frame.
2 Adjust the thickness of the striker pad (10).
NOTE: If the striker pad (10) is too thin, use a new striker pad (10).
3 Install the aft latch heat-shield (8), striker plate (9) and striker pad (10) back on the pressure relief door frame. Use the two pins (11), two washers (7) and two nuts (6). 4 TORQUE the two nuts (6) to between 35 and 30 lbf.in (0.40 and 0.34 m.daN )
. (d) Push the pressure relief door retention spring down and close the pressure relief door.

(2) Close the left thrust reverser cowl-door (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-410-802):
